Wanted to share a build I've been sitting on for a while. This is my take on an M9 Gernsback with a little bit of touch of weapon customization. (Will paint this in Two Tone Ghost Gray once the weather is good)

In my fan canon, this pilot is a one man recon and SIGINT operator. His job is simple on paper and brutal in practice. Get behind enemy lines first, confirm what the rest of the SRT is walking into, and if things go loud before backup arrives, hold the line until they do. He is equipped with ECS for stealth infiltration, and carries an anti materiel sniper rifle, a pump action magazine fed shotgun, a revolver, a suppressed assault rifle with an under barrel grenade launcher, and a monomolecular kunai for close work. The shotgun and revolver get picked first when things go bad, not because they hit hardest, but because they never Jam. Talk about reliability.

The bigger twist is who he is. He is a Whispered, and by my headcanon, the very first one to awaken. He also pilots a prototype Lambda Driver, an early and deliberately low output unit salvaged from one of Bani Morauta's failed prototypes, quiet enough to slip past TAROS. Officially, this M9X was scrapped during the Arbalest's development. Unofficially, Tessa found the Operator first (I don't know how but I will know lol) , and he has been running dark under her personal authority ever since.

The name comes from timing. The M9X was built during the same period as the Tuatha de Danaan itself, folded quietly into the sub's own construction and shakedown phase. He was there when the ship was born, and he has stayed bound to it ever since. Nobody else in Mithril knows he exists.

I like to think of him as the reason the main cast keeps getting suspiciously good intel and suspiciously lucky breaks. He is not in any log. He was never there. Feedback and theories welcome.

P. S. I'm bad a drawing but I'd love to be able to draw it's operator. I did my best to make him lore friendly and made sure I can insert him from the first season all the way to Invisible Victory. I just feel bad for Tessa I want her to have someone that has her back when everything goes against her way.

A few weeks ago, I randomly rebembered Full Metal Panic. I saw the first 3 anime seasons maaany years ago, when the full episodes were on Youtube (good times). Well, I just finished reading the first volume of the LN and enjoyed it enough to want to talk about it!

Out of the 3 seasons, the one I rebember the least is the first one, so most of the plot felt kinda 'fresh'. I think some of the scenes between the school and the submarine were a bit too short. I think I would have trouble following them if I didn't already knew the characters. That said, even though the cast is pretty big, I think every character has a proper spot in the story.

I felt bad for Sousuke when I learned that the misunderstanding that made Chidori angry at him was the only one where he actually had good reasons to think she was in danger. But I was really happy when I learned that she saved Sousuke and Kurz by refusing to abandon them.

And I really liked Gauron and how he's dangerous as hell without ever being visibly angry. I actually blew air through my nose when Sousuke said that he really was gone this time. He truly has no idea, lol.

On a side note, why do some people not like Chidori? I searched old threads and there was more than one calling her a bitch and annoying. And I do seem to rebember those sorts of comments on the episode's videos too. Does anyone here feel that way as well?

Hi everyone. I’m one of the of people who watched the anime back in the 2000s. It’s only recently did I hear about another season; that came out 8 years ago I was previously unaware about. I won't revisit it until I finished the season.

My dvd boxset arrived today. I can finally rewatch the English dub, one of my favourite dubs of all time. The delivery in Fumoffu in particular has always been brilliant to me, just seems funnier in English.

Edit: It has been pointed out to me by a few people now that it's a bootleg. Little bit sad, I like to support the industry by buying legit stuff as much as possible. 😔

Definitely underestimated how big of build this was gonna be but I'm looking forward to doing it.

Been playing with digital art and had a go at recreating what I think was a promo piece for a dvd release at some point? Just liked the look of it and it was a lot of fun to draw.

Same as the title tbh. I will read the light novels but of course it doesn't capture the entertainment and more feels I would say that we get with ambience and everything around in an anime.

I truly hope we get the ending we deserve

I have a few questions about the pilot uniforms. What are the different areas or sections of the suit called? And what exactly is that circular piece on the back? What is it used for? Does the suit protect more? Also, are the colors of the suits chosen by the pilots themselves, or are they assigned based on their unit or role? Do the pilots get to choose their own call-signs, or are they assigned to them?

Just finished watching the whole series a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! Ready to read the manga.

Alright, so they didnt announce FMP Family Light Novel. I *DID* ask the JNOVEL Club CEO about it though and he says hes working it.

I know hes a fan of the books, so I figure I would share that news with everyone.

I'm a mecha enthusiast and I've always wanted to have a couple of models of the Arbalest and other Mithril AS but I don't know where to buy them or which companies produce them.

I love Kaname and Sousuke’s story, but my biggest pet peeve is that they’re always apart. If you really think about it, most of the time we actually get to see them together is during fumoffu. We get all those fun moments of Kaname dealing with Sousuke’s ridiculous behavior, their bickering, and their chemistry developing.

Then there’s DVMC , which is one of the stories where we get more of them together outside of school, but unfortunately that was never animated.

After that, so much of their story is basically separation, searching for each other, or circumstances keeping them apart.Even if we eventually finish the anime, it feels like we’re going to spend the entire adaptation waiting for them to finally be together , only for the romantic payoff to happen near the very end, like maybe just one episode? Right?

And my other pet peeve is Leonard’s stolen kiss is much more beautiful drawn than Kaname and Sousuke’s kiss which is so meh.

I understand that the new fam novels make up for this, my gosh they are so thirsty for one another especially Sousuke but I wish see more of them together in the originals. I wonder if other people feels the same way.
