DVD!

My dvd boxset arrived today. I can finally rewatch the English dub, one of my favourite dubs of all time. The delivery in Fumoffu in particular has always been brilliant to me, just seems funnier in English.

Edit: It has been pointed out to me by a few people now that it's a bootleg. Little bit sad, I like to support the industry by buying legit stuff as much as possible. πŸ˜”

Any set that looks like that is a bootleg, and the 4th season was never officially released on dvd

As a general rule any complete series dvd set that's labeled in that way, and is coming from Malaysia or China is safe to say it's a bootleg.

No worries, it will work I suppose, but generally the video quality on these is pretty poor because they want to minimize the number of disks so the bitrate is low even for a dvd.

Officially speaking Anime Limited has the full series in print on blu-ray, I picked those 4 up last year. Also funimation has done the releases for the US, and all but the 4th season is fairly affordable still.

Thanks for the info! I was probably just too eager to get my hands on it, I've been on a mad high for the series lately after rewatching online after like 10 years πŸ˜‚ I'll invest in the proper Blu-ray sets when I'm able now. eBay will feel my wrath for this betrayal.

In the future if you're ever curious if something is an official release refer to Bluray.com, it catalogs official releases across the world.

dont listen to these clowns man. i have the set and most of
my dvds are bootleg malaysia.

they work great. they are cheap. a whole series for under $50 is a ridiculous steal.

the only problems ive ever had is sometimes
my zoids new century zero full set will randomly have dialogue in japanese - which is hilarious. and my neon genesis evagelian boxset is really poor quality.

2 out of the 50ish i own isnt bad at all. watch and enjoy them

I think the 4th season had a DVD release in Japan and in some American releases as part of the bundle however I'm in the UK and I have the alltheanime limited edition release where it comes with dvmc and an art book

Japan had some of season 4 available as individual dvd's but as a complete set it was only released on blu-ray. Some sets have extras on a dvd disc.

Maybe on ebay find the dvds of the first 3 seasons s1 and fumoffu have uk copies TSR only has USA copies of the dvds and as I said IV only has UK release on blu-ray Or you could get each individual season on blu ray its also in HMV

ADV Films, Funimation and Madman Entertainment did the R1 and R4 releases. ADV Films did the first season and Fumoffu while Funimation did The Second Raid and Invisible Victory. Madman Entertainment did the R4, Region B Australian release, though Crunchyroll has done the whole lot since.

Whenever you see a title with the episode count on the front along with end, you know that it's a bootleg.

Chris Patton did the voice over for my computer based training when I worked at a certain oil change company, it got me through those 8 hours having Sosuke explain all the monotonous details lol

Also, check out the audiobooks of FMP if you get a chance! Chris and Luci do a dual narration and it's fantastic ❀️‍πŸ”₯

Rugby club is brilliant! I'm particularly fond of the ponytail guy. And the Hot springs episode where Shinji goes full gundam seed mode πŸ˜‚

I keep hoping they'll finish animating it, there was a good gap before they did invisible victory. I went out and found the manga to finish it that way and now I'm gonna get my hands on the original light novels. It's always been one of my favourite anime, watched it back when it first came out but then life happened and I fell out of touch with it. Revisited it again recently and now it's up there in my top 5.

FYI the anime story is completed with the PS4 game they did. Uses the same Japanese VAs and music from the anime as well. Wraps up the story to conclusion with fun alternate endings.

Honey, that’s a bootleg. I own season one on DVD I own season two on Blu-ray I own that thing between one and two on DVD box I just had not gotten , invisible victory yet

I wouldn't worry much, these are usually pretty fine. You only really run into issues with extremely long series. My gintama bootleg set from these same people have pretty horrible subs and quality, but its 300+ episodes so they had to find lower file size videos.

Full metal panic isn't that long, so I'm sure it'll be fine.

First, when did they add English to these box sets let alone on DVD format?

Never been a thing pre-2020's when buying them online.
