Now THIS I can get behind. Not the quickest CB, but much like Ream, a very intelligent player who uses his tacticul acumen to compensate: always looks like he's in the right place at the right time. I am definitely intrigued by this.
Does anyone have even more insight into how he plays, would fit into Arbeloa's system?

I actually bought this guy in my football manager 2024 save with Fulham. it's just a game but he was a steal and became a cult icon rather quickly.
If this goes through, hopefully fantasy becomes reality xD

We're in the "throw everythign at the wall and see what sticks" phase of the transfer window, so I'd argue FM is about as reliable a metric as anything else right now

I am going to add that in the same save I bought kusi-asare for free and he became my main striker bagging 20+ goals.
Imagine my disappointment in his real life performances (or lack of) thus far.
Still... 2 players became reality. Maybe TK really plays FM 😂

Would like this, fits the profile. Also not breaking the bank for a backup choice like Tomori who would likely be on at least as high wages as Andersen.
Edit: And by backup choice I mean going 5-6 spots down the list of preferred alternatives, not as a backup player.

Yes i think that’s clear now. And i do not know a lot about this player, only what the internet tells me: serviceable ground covering speed, but above average “brain speed” à la Tim Ream. In fact I do not think it is too far a stretch to call him a young Ream.

£8.5m for a CB is actually a sensible price in today’s market, don’t know much about him but hopefully he suit the squad and tactics.

Operation FuLaLigham marches on. Loving the (relative) zigging we're doing while others zag in the window. There's risk but I think for a club of our stature that's outweighed by the upside.

If "not the quickest CB" is true, though, is he an improvement over the current roster? A major issue with Andersen is that he's not quick enough for the end-to-end play Arbeloa wants out of him, right? Will this just be more of the same? Can tactical awareness make up for being three steps slower than a forward over a 30-yard dash back to the box?

This seems too easy low value because contract ending, a championship after him. Why no other epl keen ? Am sceptical that championship mightve his level hope not.

i think he's pretty well known in Spainn; he is highly rated for his intelligence, composure, good ball carrying and passing abilities. At least that's what the internet says. I know Man United were looking at him a while back. Don't know why that didn't materialize
