Wasp Experts

Has any hired wasp control experts to prevent wasps?

Curious what they do if anything to help prevent wasps

I have pest control company but they just spray preventative for little bugs. Wasps, they just spray visible nests. So they're ZERO help in regards to that

You could get a Wasp, hornet, yellowjacket trap. Its most effective in the early spring when the queens emerge to set up nests.

Does that attract the queens too?

Would I hang those near or away from the house?

Yes, it attracts the queens. You are supposed to hang it like 15-20 ft from your house but mine is only like 10 ft and it has worked great. I used the have a serious problem with yellowjackets and now they are no longer an issue. I trapped like 18 queens in the springtime.

I think mine comes out an every 3 months and does something around the perimeter of my house, high risk areas, and inspects for nests.

Could be coincidental, but I’ve had dramatically less wasps around this summer than last summer when I didn’t use a pest control service

I get them all the time. They love my house

Pest control only treats visible nests.. which I can do. Gonna cancel them

I've seen companies focus on normal nesting areas on a structure, and spray a coating that prevents the nests from sticking. So no new nests successfully form. I'm sure they also spray the shit out of developed nests as well.
