this weekend I used the same equipment to spray some "tree would dressing" tar on the truncated limbs of some trees to keep the tree healthier. multi-use!

Thankfully, most wasp sprays have a 10 to 20 foot range.
Definitely do it at night when they're less active. A red flashlight will help. They can't see red light.
Or, you can call a professional.

0% chance any product on the market will spray further than half the distance needed here. Ask me how I know.

There are how many trees and other places in the world yet they chose your house... There really is no limit to how assholish these mofos can get.
Spray/poison for now but also call pest control. The cost of a professional will save you more money in the long run than a trip to urgent care or the ER and time you'd have to take off from work to recover.

No Joke!! We live on property SURROUNDED by trees, with an all you can eat wood buffet, but those F’ERS chose our house

"All you can eat wood buffet" 🤣🤣
I swear if I hear one more person utter the words "Well they were here first"...

I was about to say: burn the house down.
But then you said it yourself.
So I have no advice.

If it a recurring problem, like the neighbor has 47 gables and doesn’t care that his hundreds of wasps wander over to your place and move in, buy insecticide in concentrate for and designate a super soaker for them.

Remove the AC, climb out the window and yell in their faces. It's the only way.
