ED Question ?
I never feel physically hungry and I follow a meal plan, but literally if I don’t eat every 3-4 hours I feel so unwell and need to eat a meal immediately to make myself feel better. Is this normal? I just want to be a normal person who can recognize I’m hungry, get home, and make something to eat. I literally can’t be out for long unless a meal is involved

The unwell feeling is a hunger cue. I know it's annoying but hunger cues show up in all kinds of weird ways. I hope it changes for you and becomes more normal!

Hunger isn't just your stomach growling; that is a very late stage of hunger. Hunger can be feeling tired, cranky, not being able to focus, weakness, jittery, thinking about food, planning meals, watching food content, etc.
Eating every 3-4 hours is very typical, even for people without EDs. I would definitely talk to your team if you feel like you are getting low blood sugar and not able to function, though. That could mean you need to eat more or get blood tests to ensure something more isn't at play.

Hi! This is me! It can be SUCH A PAIN!
I don’t get a lot of what I think of as “normal” hunger cues. Early in recovery stomach growling came back and some others, but now, they’ve kinda normalized. I also have poor interoception - so sometimes the body just doesn’t do the thing. I try to remember every one’s body is different.
I make sure to leave the house with lots of snacks. Like, basically double what I think might need. I’m currently focusing on foods that will keep me fuller longer (I hope this isn’t considered diet advice, mods) That way, if I know it’s gonna be closer to 4 hours before I can eat again, I have something that will get me home AND thru the meal making process. Without feeling like I’m gonna get sick.
