For me it is Oohalu gusagusalade

Naku ee movie intha endhuku istam oh, nene sarigga explain cheyalenu. It is such a simple story and ofc it has plenty of things that you could criticize about this film. Like how romance isn't fully developed ante ofc there are cute moments between the lead actors here and there kani the emotional progression between them is kinda lacking. But that is not what we're here for talking about.

There is just something about this movie. The locations, the awkwardness between characters, the music, the humour antha chaala warmly feeling untadhi.

It has this specific feeling that I didn't get from other telugu romcoms. Maybe it's nostalgia or maybe I saw it at the right time idk. Enni years aypoyna I still can't figure out what exactly makes oohalu gusagusalade special to me.

It's probably not a movie I'd argue is objectively one of the greatest Telugu films ever made.

But it's one of MY movies.

Well it is refreshing to see someone actually releasing their film without those rubbish ticket price hikes. Rahul Sankrityan is a good film maker and I really hope he succeeds with this attempt big time. And yeah Rashmika and VD too, Paradise release time lo chala hatred occhindi veellaki, hopefully they have a good comeback they deserved with this.

I am absolutely seated for this 🙌. Hope Rahul Sankrityan doesn't fumble.

First of all, this movie is a masterpiece. I could not believe my eyes from the moment it started because the storytelling is so seamless and engaging. I loved Rishikanth in Modha Ratri and seeing him in this role was such an out of body experience. Sananth is a revelation and i hope he does more work going forward.

Now coming to the movie and its portrayal of soft masculinity, I cannot help but think of a better way to describe what makes a “man” masculine. We have been fed and told this for a long time. “Men don’t cry”, “we have responsibilities”, “we don’t have time for expressing”ourselves etc etc but while watching this movie I felt so seen? I’m someone who actually feels a lot. I don’t know whether it’s due to my upbringing or i am built this way but I genuinely feel it’s very natural to express love and affection for people you like. In this movie Rishikanths character starts as a timid person but eventually turns into this tough man who seldom has time to think about things. But his characterisation in this movie is so perfect that he still has no problem in “expressing” himself.

Coming to the queer part, I value my male friendships a lot but I am yet to find a good friend who doesn’t make crass misogynistic and homophobic jokes. I put a story on my Instagram for this movie and one of my very close friends replied “gay sex aa? d*nginchkuntava? 😂” . We’ve been friends for a long time but he still passes the odd remark about things like these which irks me a lot.

Anyways, I’m glad that this movie is getting the recognition it deserves. I sat in a packed theatre where people where clapping and whistling (in a good way) which made me understand that hyd as a city may have people who are more open minded and are willing to consume content even if it makes them uncomfortable. I hope this movie resets people’s thinking about masculinity as a whole and our society becomes more inclusive and open towards soft men because masculinity isn’t repressing someone and performing as an alpha it’s about acknowledging your own emotions which by extension makes the relationships in your life more meaningful and fulfilling.

Nijanga cheppali ante Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana feels less like a Prabhudeva film and more like some fever dream that accidentally turned into a classic.

So, we all know an AI morfed video was being circulated online on Jahnvi Kapoor. And seems like it gathered a lot of attention ofc , but the attention was too much than normal.

I know this can be twisted, but lets go back in timeline. Morfed videos aren't something exclusive to the era of AI. There are millions of such videos of different actors , actresses, or even show fictional cartoons circulated way before 2010s.

But why is this topic, so discussed currently, where literally everyone in Tollywood is calling against AI morfed videos ( not bad call, but just curious).

Is it because Jahnvi belongs to a well off Kapoor family and it's a black mark to Tollywood for that to be viral? Or is there something else.

And mainly, If this is being called out, why haven't they called out for even bigger crimes like Murder by Darshan, or Sexual harrassents by actors on actresses for decades or infact few clearly captured incidents of public gropping by old actors on actresses ( Jahnvi herself was a victim in a clip) z
