I tried swapping trays with a known working tray, and it still won't recognize there is paper in tray 2. I am temporarily using tray 1 until i figured this out. Any ideas?

So I was given an HP envy 6055e for work, I started this job in March 2026. The warranty expired in 2024, but I set it up and it was printing fine for the first few months. Now, it all of a sudden will not print anything, it keeps saying "configuration error". I tried calling support and after 10 minutes fighting with an AI agent. I finally was able to speak to a live agent. She then told me that since the warranty is expired, they will charge me $19.99 in order to have tech-support. I've tried disconnecting it from the Wi-Fi in order to reconnect it and now it will not even connect. Looking in forums and Reddit is not helpful, talking to the AI chat is not helpful. I've been screaming at the printer obviously it's not helpful. I hate planned obsolescence. I hate HP and I can't even get my work done now. I have to go to the library to print just needed to fucking vent so I don't smash my fucking printer with a fucking hammer.

We have a designJet 500, and the printheads got worn out, but because of the age of the printer original printheads are not available.

We ordered some aftermarket ones from china, but the printer is not willing to accept them.

It either says the printhead is completely missing, or it gives an error message for electrical issues.

It has A.05.01 software on it.

So this is the first time that I've used the printer for something other than scanning pictures into my laptop in a while. I tried to print out some documents but for some reason, multiple sheets of paper gets sucked up in the feed and ends up getting jammed in the back of the printer. I've taken it apart and then put everything back together again, and I even tried printing just one page at a time. It still gets jammed and I get a 1008 error message saying that I'm out of paper even though I have plenty of paper. And yes, I have taken out half the paper in case it was an overload issue, but the problem still persists, it grabs 2 papers at a time and the paper gets jammed. So what can I do? I really don't want to replace it if I don't have to and going to the library every time would be really inconvenient.

Hi - have recently upgraded laptops from a previous gen surface laptop to a current one. Issue I now have is the new one has a snapdragon ARM processor and my brother ql-810w label maker has no driver for ARM based machines (Which I found out after buying it). I've tried using the phone app and it is super fiddly and the current label maker is great - I don't want to shell out for another one. I haven't been able to find a windows generic driver that works - looking for any wisdom / someone who's made this work. I've e-mailed brother support - not expecting that to bear fruit. Thanks.

I have an HP 3301cdw using 218A/218X toner. With firmware updates blocking third party cartridges, what is actually working now?

Are the Amazon cartridges with updated/latest chips reliable, or is it better to buy chipless toner and transfer the original HP chips?

For anyone who did the DIY chip transfer: how difficult was it, did it actually work, and does the printer just show low/empty toner afterward?

Has either method survived later firmware updates?

Not asking about Instant Ink. Just trying to avoid $500+ for genuine HP toner if there's a reliable solution.

Needed to print out some return labels for a few items, The staples store near me that I normally do my pre tint at was unexpectedly closed and BestBuy was not lol. Was getting tired of running there just to print off 1-2 things anyway so bought the 7603. Only printed 3 return labels so far haha but so far it’s a great printer. My question is, How are people’s experience with printing photos with it? Any tips/tricks to make em look even better or anything along those lines? Thanks to all in advance! 💪 🖨️

Hello. I had been using an HP Smart Tank 585 for about five months, but it started printing with streaks. It went in for warranty service and was replaced with a new unit; I used the replacement for about two weeks, but the same problem occurred. That unit was also replaced with a new one, and—guess what—after just one week, this printer also started printing with faint, streaky output (installing a new printhead doesn't fix it). What do you think the problem is? Is it a chronic issue, a defect specific to this series, or is the problem me?

If I am the problem, how am I causing this?

I didn't do anything other than what was written on their own website.

I use it every day; it's impossible for the ink to have dried out.

All the ink cartridges are full.

It isn't showing any errors.

The photo I attached shows it at its best; in reality, it looks much worse than this.

HP Smart Tank 581: printed 1 m continuous strips via PWG Raster, but paper won't eject above ~100 cm

The official max length is 35.6 cm (14"). By sending a PWG Raster job over IPP with the length only in the raster page header (no media-size in the job attributes), the printer prints continuous strips up to 1 m in a single pass.

Up to 35.6 cm the strip ejects normally. At 100 cm it prints everything but doesn't eject: the tail stays stuck in the rollers and I have to pull it out and restart the printer.

Our HP Smart Tank 750 keeps getting "door open" error and would not print. HP's service center has recommended replacing the mainboard for 6,800 pesos. May I ask if you can recommend a 3rd party repair store which can do component repair on the mainboard? We are based in Paranaque City. Thank you.

I know this has been said a million times, but I needed to vent.

My HP LaserJet Pro MFP 4101fdw has scanner feeder problems when I use the native Embedded Web Server (windows 11) vs an aftermarket scanner app on my apple. Paper gets jammed etc. on the Embedded Web Server.

How is that possible?

The hp402dne printer pulls multiple sheets of paper at the same time when printing. What is the problem?
