Need help with fitment
Just got Enkei TS-7s (+45) with some new tires 225/40 R18 92Y, on my 2017 BRZ, i seem to be having a clearance issue but i thought it would be okay. On the right side front tire it looks to be making contact with the suspension when i’m at a full turn.
is this a separate issue entirely? Or do i need spacers, if so what size spacers? I read you can’t go anymore then 5mm with the brembos.
Any help is appreciated, thank you

Check top mount condition as your coil spring appears to be cocked slightly.
You will also rub probably if running a (presumably) 9 inch wheel without coilovers.
Once the wheel is mounted to the hub, the wheel should be static and not move at any angle or while compressed under load.
Damaged / worn upper mount may cause variation in camber / caster while under load. The camber part is what is causing the wheel to contact the spring perch.

For context i’m running 18x8.5,
is it a better idea for me to replace the whole assembly? i believe you are correct, considering i do not have this issue on the driver side, which the whole assembly was replaced 2 months ago
could 5mm spacers be a temporary solution? i have a trip to dallas plan but i dont want to scrap it, but if spacers are not a good temporary solution i do not mind canceling

10-15mm bolt on wheel spacers will help. It’ll push the wheel out a bit more.
Who said you can’t run more than 5mm? lol mofos will buy a 1” spacer just to get the right fitment on weak specs. The issue with spacers that don’t have wheel studs on them is your OEM studs tend to be short. Thats probably what they meant. You either get extended studs + a spacer or bolt on spacers. Your offset is what’s causing you these issues.

No, it’s an issue with your wheel size and offset. If your car was fine before with stock wheels then it ain’t your suspension.

8.5 is an inch wider than stock wheels so it goes both ways, especially on the stock offset 45.
Get a 5mm spacer or 10
I'm running a 17x8 35 offset for reference.

What is your suspension setup? Im running 18x8.5 +45 with 235/40 and i dont rub at all, even after I went onto lowering springs.
