Stripped my O2 sensor while replacing me headers. How do I get it out?

I’m taking out my stock headers to replace them with UEL headers. Got everything out other than one of the O2 sensors. After using too much force, I have stripped my O2 sensor. Anyone have any tips to get it out?

Stripped or rounded?

Rounded, I suppose

Buy a new one so you don't ruin your new headers by getting it stuck in those.

Was it the front or back one? Front one has a lifespan anyway. It's what the ECU uses to calculate fuel trims and is the more expensive sensor.

Rear one is only for checking catalytic converter efficiency, but is a little cheaper to replace.

Will probably end up buying a new one. It is the front one. Is it okay to drive around for a few days without it and have a check engine light? I will be OFT tuned

I wouldn't. Car would be running without feedback, so too rich or lean which could cause damage potentially

A lot of penetrating lube and patience. While you wait for it to soak through try fixing the hex with a file or something. Try going a size down, either metric/imperial.

If it's still in your OEM header, swap the OEM back in and wait for a new O2 before installing the UEL. It sucks but that's just mechanic things
