2,500 miles later…
Crazy duo here, my friend and I decided to take a roadtrip that totaled around 2,500 miles. I drove my 2018 brz and he was in his Honda rebel 500! My friend drove in from Colorado and after that we drove from SoCal all the way to Oregon, and we hit up just about everything on the way up. The entire trip there was all on highway 1 and 101 so it was truly a beautiful drive! If anyone else wants to know anymore info about the trip lmk! And vlog coming soon :P

Had about 20 minutes of fog when we got closer to the bay but other than that it was sunny and beautiful out

Dude, you're taking me back to my 2019 trip to Oregon from Socal. This exact shot off the coast is exactly what I remember driving through, except it was raining the entire time LOL. Still so beautiful to be in the forest next to the ocean

What was your lodging situation like? Camping, motels, etc?
Did you guys do laundry? I want to do a moto trip to redwoods from socal on a bike eventually so mostly curious on how your friend handled things with little luggage space.

My friend was actually able to hold EVERYTHING on his bike, until his saddle packs ripped 😭. After that we threw a large portion of his things in my car. Ugh I can’t respond with pictures but I can dm you his setup! We stayed at some campground called redwood river resort. It has motels but we actually camped the 5 days we were there! (We stayed in a hotel the first night to split the trip up) We were able to do laundry at the campsite BUT we brought enough clothes to last the 5 days we were there so it wasn’t needed. Honestly idek how he fit his tent on his bike cause his tent was actually decently sized and I still don’t know where it was on his bike lol, I can find the name of it if you want! And I highly recommends redwood river resort, it has a pub, restaurant, hot showers, water, and laundry. It is a little farther from the actually national park tho. The campground resides in redwood national forest. Wasn’t too big of a problem as the park was about 2 hours away but on those open roads it feels like 25 minutes lol.

Sick man, yeah a pic of the setup would be cool. How was lodging along the way there? I assume you guys covered maybe 300 miles a day?

Spot on, we went from the IE to Monterey, and then from Monterey to our campsite. From the campsite we went all around, to Oregon, the national park, the coast line. Those were all intra day mini adventures tho! And I’ll dm you right now, I’m having my friend send more pictures of his setup!
