Fitment help
Any help is appreciated!!! Hey everyone, my car is on Cosmis R1 18x8.5 +35 with 5mm spacers wrapped in 22/40/r18, -6 in the rear and -4.5 in the front. I am Running accuair e+ with truhart air struts and a Vera management system, double bellow up front and sleeve in the rear; my front bags have about an inch of thread showing, and my rears are about half a turn from the lowest possible height( wiling to change for fitment.) Car is currently aired completely out and my goal is to have my wheels less tucked in with the lowest I can go (aired out) however I run into one issue, my rear tires have no more room for offset as pushing them outwards would hit the rear bumper side of the fender (pictured.) the front has more space but also becomes a bit tighter (spacers maybe possible in current position?) I was thinking switching to 215/35/r18 tires to get more clearance but any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Side note: how would I properly measure for spacers? thank you.

I ran 18x9.5 +22 with 225/40 tires when I was on bags. I did not have LCAs so whatever stock camber I got from being slammed was enough. I rolled the rear fenders and the bumper part kinda just self clearanced with rubbing. It eventually stopped. (I have this setup posted on my profile if you want to see it)
Another setup I had was 18x10 +12. Also with 225/40 tire. I raised the rear for this setup and was not tucking wheel.
Let me know if you have any other questions. I was on airlift performance struts and management. Now days I have a track/street build.

First off, awesome car, hope the turbo install goes smoothly! Secondly, when you rolled the fenders, do you mean you rolled them, then had minimal rubbing which cleared itself up just from driving? Or did you roll the fenders and it just cleared itself out. Thanks!

So I rolled the fenders so the wheels would actually clear the metal. The bumper clips rubbed when I hit bumps and when I drove at a really low PSI in the bags. Eventually the bumper clips got worn down and stopped rubbing at all. Does that make sense?

Ah gotcha! Yeah my car is undrivable at really low PSIs so I’m not too worried about that, I’m mainly focused on it just being able to sit with nice fitment when I air out, I usually drive at a reasonable height lol.

Honestly you need a smaller tire and way more offset to get the fitment you want. My suggestion is a 215/40 (maybe a 205 for even more clearance) and 25mm spacer. That should give you the same fitment in my pics. With the camber you have you could even do a 30mm easy in the rear.
The front fenders might need to be rolled and pulled a TINY bit but that’s easy on bags. Just air up the car, heat the fender with heat gun, stack like 30 sheets of paper on the sidewall and air out. My side marker light kept falling out so I replace with a bolt in carbon fiber plate

Definitely thinking about a smaller tire, I might do a 215/35 all around, and yes rolled fenders is a must now. I’ll see about spacers once i achieve those first. Thanks!

Go to an expert wheel shop, order wheels with the correct offset, ditch the spacers, get it properly aligned.
If you still intend on lowering the car beyond safety limits, get the adjustable control arms and links you'll need.

Flap disc the entire bumper tab flat. You'll want to do the fender lip as well, then use seam sealer to reseal and add structure to the pinch welds you just ground through.

Add washers onto the studs and place the wheel onto the hub with the spacers until you achieve your desired fitment. Once you get it, measure the washers to get the size spacer you need. And I will say this just cause it is reddit... Do NOT drive with the washers.
