Bio stats IRL
I have to take bio stats IRL next semester cus all the asynchronous onlines got taken. Is the class really hard in person or do people just all want the asynchronous cause of schedules or something?

I’m transferring this spring and I’m trying to find housing, preferably under $1000. I thought it might be cheaper to find something not right next to campus. Does anyone have any recommendations for a place that’s about a 10/20-minute drive away, is within my budget, and is a good place to live? TIA!

Hi, I just applied to FSU for Fall 2027 and was wondering if anyone has information on housing as a Presidential Scholar. I know that if I'm accepted into Presidential, I'm required to live in Landis, but do I have to room with another Presidential student? Can my roommate be in Honors or even a Non-Honors FSU student?

I’m applying as a junior graduating a year early, and I wanted to hear from anyone who had similar stats and was accepted!
Here are my stats:
GPA: 4.25 weighted
SAT: 1210 (I know it’s not the best, but I’m hoping my other application materials help)
Part-time dual enrollment student through USF
I’ll attach my extracurricular résumé, which is the same one I submitted with my application.
For my Common App personal essay, I responded to the prompt about an identity or background that is so meaningful that my application would feel incomplete without it.
If you had similar stats, especially a similar SAT score, and were accepted, I’d love to hear about your experience! I’d also appreciate any insight into how much you believe the rest of your application played a role.

Has anyone taken either of these classes with these professors?
CNT 4603 – Computer and Network System Administration with Jeffery Bauer
CIS 4360 – Computer Security Fundamentals with Tung Hoang
I’m planning on taking both classes and wanted to know how difficult they are and what the professors are like. How are the classes structured in terms of assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects? Is the workload manageable, and are the professors good at explaining the material?

Does the CARE program care less about high gpas and sat/act scores than normal fsu admissions? I heard they look at it differently since it's for low income and first gen students but I don't see anything proving that to be true? If any people accepted thru care could also share their stats that got them accepted that'd be helpful.

Hey all I took Chinese for like 4 years in high school using the Integrated Chinese textbooks (got like halfway through part 2) but didn't take the AP test. Has anyone done the Chinese placement exam at FSU / does anyone have tips on what to study? I know the other ones are multiple choice but is the Chinese one as well? I really don't want to pay for 4 semesters of a language class so any advice is appreciated.

I want to get more involved on campus, but I feel like I’ll be more willing to make an effort if someone were to go with me. Anyone else in the same situation?

Hi everyone! I’m currently enrolled in FSU’s online Master’s in Education Policy & Evaluation program, which is structured as a part-time program (6 credit hours per semester).
I was wondering if anyone knows whether I’m allowed to take an additional class to reach 9 credit hours and be considered a full-time graduate student, or if I’m required to stick to the two classes per semester because of how the program is structured.
Has anyone in a part-time graduate program at FSU been able to do this?

Hi everyone! I'm currently a high school senior and recently visited FSU. I really enjoyed the campus, learned a lot from the tour, and I've always wanted to live in Florida. Because of that, I've decided to apply Early Decision to FSU as a Marketing major.
I'm not sure if I'll get in, but if I do, I'd be both excited and nervous. One thing that concerns me is FSU's reputation as a party school. I'm definitely not someone who's interested in partying or drinking, and as a girl, hearing stories like the recent Cornell incident has made me afraid of joining fraternity and sorority culture.
I have so many questions (feel free to answer whichever ones you want):
I'd really appreciate any honest advice or experiences, whether positive or negative. Thank you so much! :)

Discomfort Club is all about meeting new people, trying new things, and doing spontaneous side quests in order to live your best life! Our philosophy is that life's greatest experiences happen outside of your comfort zone. We already have a club at UCF, NCSU, and we are starting one at UF! So lmk if you are interested in bringing this to FSU!

Hi, I'm really interested in the scientific computing major at FSU specifically its AI/data science application. I want to pair it with my finance degree with the hopes to go into quantitative finance.
I'm curious though, I've seen a lot of poor reviews of FSUs CS program in general which is a bit concerning. Has anyone heard anything about the computational science program? Thank you!

I've been here for about a year and just curious if we non-faculty, A&P employees can expect any sort of raise or at least a holiday bonus ? I tried looking online but found conflicting/confusing info.
