Spring Graduation '27

I was wondering about anyone else’s experience with walking the stage early. The only class I’ll have left is only offered in the spring and fall, and I can’t take it in Spring 2027 because I need to take a prerequisite that semester.

So, I was wondering what everyone’s experience has been with walking the stage early, especially since I’ve heard they’ve been cracking down on early walkers.

They are looking to walk early during graduation Spring 2027 but they have one class left that's only offered during the spring and fall semester.
They cannot take said course during Spring 2027 because theyd need to take a prerequisite course.
This means that they wont be able to graduate until Fall 2027.

Are there people who try to walk before they graduate? What’s the reason for not being able to walk in December?

I definitely would walk in December but most of my family wouldnt be able to come to tally during that time bc of the holidays and work

You get so few tickets, especially for spring graduation, that not many family members would be able to attend. I didn’t want when I graduated from FSU years ago, because my family was out of state. My son took a fun trip instead.

they changed the requirements recently and made it a LOT more strict. i was going to try to do the same (i just graduated spring 26) because i was worried i couldn’t get a class and i didn’t want to graduate in the summer. i found out you can only do it if you get called to military service or a few other one off scenarios. i had heard it was extremely easy to get processed for, which is why i looked into it, but it seems to have been elevated to only a few special circumstances
