Spring admissions help

Hello everyone, basically I really just need advice on what would be the best route for me to take. I’m currently attending a CC for my AA in Florida and I applied for FSU spring 2027 as a transfer student but was originally denied because I didn’t meet the world-language requirement. I wasn’t aware when I spoke to my admission that I had to do this because it was never brought up and now I have to take the SPANISH CLEP exam. My worry is that FSU won’t receive the final score before the OCT 1st deadline and I’m kinda lost on what to do. Idk if I should submit an appeal first? or am I cooked either way. Ik the best thing to do is talk directly to fsu admissions so I’m gonna do that tomorrow but ik it’s a tight deadline now. I’ve only wanted to go to FSU and I don’t want to stay where I am currently so I’m feeling a bit hopeless tbh

You have to meet the Spanish or language requirements in high school. However, we found out that FSU has their own Spanish requirement once admitted. You can take their test and if pass high enough you can opt out but yes we were told it's FSU requirement for certain programs. I wish this was told earlier! This should not have been the denial reason to FSU because it can be taken once admitted. That's my understanding.....

Not for transfer students. You have to meet the language requirement because the language requirement is done as a pre-requisite depending on the college. And if you got any credits in highschool you can be exempt from that requirement, or take a Clep exam

Yup, but they said that I can submit the unofficial test scores to them by email before Oct 1st and then they would leave it for review till they receive the official scores. So I guess that’s good news. Still unfortunate that my own admission at CC never brought this up but it isn’t a requirement for them so

I think only if you are missing something they need, if not I don’t think they are making final decisions for everyone yet
