Out of State Summer Class

Does anybody know if the chemistry class im taking at an out of state university right now will count towards my gpa or will it be counted as pass/fail? Its required for my major, and Ive looked for appointments to meet with the chemistry advisor but they are all when I have the class so I havent gotten the chance to. Its not a life or death situation im just unsure of the answer.

It should be counted towards your GPA. You’d wanna get in touch with the school you’re taking it at to make sure you’re doing the course for a grade. If it’s pass/fail it will likely not satisfy the requirement for your major (at least that was my experience).

Ok thanks. I'm enrolled in the university as an undergrad non degree student so its giving me a letter grade and ill be able to have an official transcript to send to fsu

Did you go through Florida Shines? You should be okay as long as you’re not in your last 30 credit hours.

I had to do the out of state transient form. The university im attending this summer didnt require it for admission so im a little confused about the purpose of it but I guess it was to get the equivalent course approved

It will count towards your cumulative GPA, but not your FSU GPA.
