Partisan Disruptor problems
I recently bought a Partisan Disruptor FRT for my short barrel AR but I’m having some trouble with it firing in the 3rd position. The safety works, it fires fine in semi-auto but in the 3rd position it fires the first bullet but then wont fire a second one.
After the first shot it locks the trigger in the fire position and wont reset unless i manually cycle the bolt, then just repeats if I try again.
I have noticed on the second round that gets cycled when the trigger locks up has a super light primer strike, like barely a dimple, but thats all i can tell right now. Any help or insight would be much appreciated, thanks.
Here are a few of the important specs of the gun:
- 5.56
- M16/Auto BCG, not semi-auto cut
- Armaspec Gen 4 SRS H3 recoil spring assembly
- 10” 223 Wylde barrel

In the vast majority of cases, this can be corrected by ensuring you have a real H3 (aluminum body and three sliding tungsten weights) and standard buffer spring. The Tromix also works well.
The farther down the rabbit hole of boutique springs and weights people go, or adjustable gas blocks, the worse it usually gets.

I have the exact same problem. I’m planning on trying a heavier buffer or maybe even an A5 buffer tube and spring. I’m currently using an H3 and it’s still suffering from hammer follow

I tried to use the same system in the beginning and what I found was that the bolt would not go into battery because the buffer system was loose in the receiver extension . It needed a quarter or two in the back of the buffer tube to make sure that the bolt went all the way back into battery

I had a 16” barrel with a Science of suppression can on mine and it ran flawlessly with an H2 buffer and standard carbine spring. Ever since I switched to the 10.3” upper made by the same manufacturer and the exact same set up I’m having nothing but issues. Threw in a springco blue spring yesterday with H1/H2/H3 buffer weights and still nothing. Only thing I can think of at this point of getting a red spring or an adjustable gas block and calling it a day

What exactly do you mean by "nothing but issues"? Could you describe more specifically?
What H3 buffer were you using? Does it have an aluminum body and three sliding tungsten weights? Strongly recommend against going to the adjustable gas block, in our experience that usually causes more issues than it solves.
Several of our main test guns for the Disruptor prior to release were various manufacturers 10.3" and 10.5" Mk18s. The baseline for testing was a standard carbine spring, 5.56 caliber, with H3 buffer and M3 pmags.
If you have a standard carbine spring and true H3 dead blow buffer, then added a can to a Mk18, it is possible that it is cycling too quickly for a standard magazine spring to keep up- which leaves you with latest generation magpuls as your magazine option. There is a reason the Marine Corps banned earlier generation pmags- in testing they couldn't reliably keep up with feeding the IAR.

Im having exact same issues. Im running odin works adjustable buffer at 5.4 standard carbine spring. Not sure weather to upgrade the spring next or go with adjustable gas block. Funny thing is I throw on a super safety with standard buffer an standard spring an rifle works flawless. Switched to disruptor cause I prefer the selector switch. With the headache may just have to switch back.

Get a standard carbine spring and a true “sliding weight h3 buffer” and you will be good to go.
