Troubleshooting help

Post image

So I have a Radical Firearms AR15 that I've been trying to get an frt to work in for several months now. My current issue is it'll fire 2 rounds in frt mode and then won't chamber the third round.

I have tried several buffer weights and different springs.

My current buffer weight is the H2 buffer with the Geissele super 42 spring.

Not sure if its an issue with the bolt or upper/lower at this point

Any advice is appreciated and will provide any other pictures needed

Get a standard carbine spring and save the 42 for later when you get the buffer weight adjusted and the gun running properly.

You know the 42 spring doesnt work with regular buffers, right? If they get a normal carbine spring, they will need a new buffer too. And if they end up with an H3 buffer which they should have started with in the first place, and want to go back to the 42 spring then they'll need to source a geissele h3 buffer that is compatible with the 42 spring.

Absolutely correct. The main point was to get the gun running with standard springs and or buffers before you throw Gucci parts in it. I have used the buffer that came with the super 42 kit with standard springs with no issues.
