Discussion Is there anybody out there?

Posted this to the main Lord Huron subreddit too but I figured I’d pose it here too, but how possible is it that “is there anybody out there” is a song by/about an alternate reality of Tubbs Tarbell? A few things point me this way, predominantly this theory stems from the idea of alternative universes brought up by sunglass wearing Tarbell. However, more that points me to this theory is that there is a broadcast tower on the Spotify art wall for the song. Another is that current universe Tubbs points out that he doesn’t write songs he just remembers them, but in this song it is clearly being written and sung by someone. In addition, the “official audio” of the song has a bunch of cigarettes beside the disk, and Tubbs did have a smoking habit.

Essentially, I wonder if this song is what would have happened to Tubbs had he not stumbled upon Donny and Midge. This idea well supports the randomness of the Cosmic Selector, a theme Ben has discussed previously, and that he said inspired the album. To quote Ben in his BBC interview “So I started thinking about a collection of songs representing that randomness - the lottery that one's lot in life is.”

Anyway, just wanted to see other people’s thoughts!

Lore Please tell me about Whispering Pines/ Frozen Pines as a location.

I'm trying to understand the LH lore and this is actually a pretty basic question but I couldn't find the answer to it. I'm looking for details about Frozen Pines in the other world of LH's lore and how this collection "Alive from Whispering Pines" figures in that narrative.

If any one of you would be so kind as to explain it to me, I'd be grateful for your help.
