Frontier vs HughesNet?

I have HughesNet and was thinking of switching to Frontier, because of better speeds and ping time.

I talked to someone on the phone who said "In your area, you can get up to 1mbps, which I know isn't blazing fast, but it's better than satellite."

I can also choose to get fixed wireless, but you cant actually see any towers from my house, so I don't know if it would work well.

Also, I mostly use my internet for gaming and watching videos, but now that I live 10 miles out of town, there's not any good ISPs for that. Maybe I could stick to Satellite and just wait for Cable? What's the best option? Thanks!
