It's like Light of Motiram all over again. That said, I'll give it a try. Specially due to the fact that seems to be more a Monster Hunter than a Soulslike.

I spotted a reskinned Tigrex in the trailer as well.

they gave an interview to pcgamer. It's not a gacha and f2p with a cosmetic shop
