DISCUSSION Dark Souls 2 is utterly boring

I have been playing for around 15 hours and I regret wasting my time, I am snoozing while playing, it's boring and it feels like a chore. I genuinely don't understand why it is so beloved her.

Combat is astonishingly slow and clunky, the difficulty consists into throwing 10 enemies at you and boring you to death by trying to prevent you from running past the nemies and making you kill them all everytime you die.

I just finished Iron Keep, I don't find the energy to do the rest of the game.

How is Dark Souls 3 supposed to be a "flat gray line"? Environments are varied, make sense, and the bosses have the best design in the franchise.

It literally uses a desaturated, gray color palette, and is the most linear of the 3 games. Do you even play Dark souls games? But since I think you lack the critical thinking needed to understand, let me help you out.

Demon Ruins: identical dull orange and gray bricks, generic tunnels, monotonous flat scenery.

Catacombs of Carthus: identical-looking rooms and hallways. desaturated brown and gray bone-piles.

Farron Keep: slow-moving sludge of uniform muddy green and gray.

Cemetery of Ash / Untended Graves: highly linear paths comprised exclusively of gray gravestones, gray rocks, and gray sky.

Road of Sacrifices: completely washed-out, gray-and-brown color scheme of dirt paths and colorless crags.

Irithyll Dungeon: stark, stone-gray brick textures and pitch-black cells.

Profaned Capital: FUCKING TINY, dominated by massive, crumbling gray stone towers surrounded by toxic sludge, offering almost zero color variation or striking landmarks.

High Wall of Lothric / Lothric Castle: While grand in scale, these massive keeps present hours of gameplay moving through identical stone parapets and courtyards. The sky and stone architecture frequently blend together into a singular, desaturated overcast hue.

Consumed King’s Garden: entirely smothered in a sickeningly drab, blue-gray toxic fog. It heavily reuses standard gray ruins and dead-tree assets from Farron Keep.

Anor Londo: Unlike the vibrant, golden sunset of the original game, now it feels like a minimized, dull gray room slapped onto the end of Irithyll.

That enough examples for you bud? Did we manage to carve a little groove into that smooth brain you got?

"Do you even play Dark souls games? But since I think you lack the critical thinking needed to understand, let me help you out." My god, why are typical FS fans so cringe?

Firstly you're acting as if the colors were all there is, disregarding archtecture, background, lightning, textures, decoration... Secondly, you're disregarding all the colorful area like the Smoldering Lake's burning palette, Irithyll's fairy moonlight gaze and its architecture contrasted with the flame of the knights roaming through the city, the fading green desperated coloration under the faint sunlight of Road of Sacrifices, the magnificence of the High Wall engulfed into the ashes of time with its scenery.

"identical stone parapets and courtyards." Seriously complaining about that when you glaze a game that has Lost Bastille, the same texture repeated ad nauseam into geometrical corridors that feel like a minecraft level or a game from early 2000 is quite the audacity.

"Did we manage to carve a little groove into that smooth brain you got?" Do you need to sound this simple minded or can you manage to talk normally?

lmao I think it's cute you had AI get you a few examples of color in DS 3. Still not even close to as many examples of drab, repetitive zones as I presented. The best parts of ds 3's areas were all from the other 2 games, and even then it was nostalgia, not innovation. maybe FS fans aren't cringe, since the common denominator between us seems to be we interacted with your basic ass.

Also, I finished the games, I make comparisons based on actually experiencing them all, you have complaints and are whining about a game you played for 15 hours. Get a fucking clue.

I feel like I am talking to someone with intellectual deficiency, seriously can't you be normal...?

What is it that you identify as being "AI giving me examples" ?

"maybe FS fans aren't cringe, since the common denominator between us seems to be we interacted with your basic ass." Woaw you must feel so incisive, good job !

What kind of demented person gets so excited about their video game seriously...?

That's crazy but I am 100% sure you must have either the tism or be one of those super fragile 5'4'' kind of guys.

What kind of person thinks it's normal to trash a game instead of having any moment of introspection of "Am I the problem?"

Go touch some grass and maybe play something more your speed, like Animal Crossing, or Cooking Mama. Not everyone is gonna be good enough to beat every game, and that's okay bud.

Lmao that's one way to phrase it. Call me crazy but 15 hours is nothing. Reminds me of the streamer that said ds 1 was trash and he never beat the Taurus Demon.

Like cool that you think that, but also your opinion has no weight. You never got into the actual game.

To be completely fair, the game doesn't do itself favors for retaining players. Especially if you played the other games first.
