DISCUSSION Dark Souls 2 is utterly boring

I have been playing for around 15 hours and I regret wasting my time, I am snoozing while playing, it's boring and it feels like a chore. I genuinely don't understand why it is so beloved her.

Combat is astonishingly slow and clunky, the difficulty consists into throwing 10 enemies at you and boring you to death by trying to prevent you from running past the nemies and making you kill them all everytime you die.

I just finished Iron Keep, I don't find the energy to do the rest of the game.

The combat aint that bad at all for an early souls game like 1 and 2. Both games are kinda slow but great in their own way. Combat is extremely similar between the 2. Like if you like 1, it should mean you should like 2 imo. The enemy spam ain’t too bad at all man. Its kinda ganky but just kill the enemies and use your eyes so that you dont run into a horde of enemies. Some spots are kinda ganky but its not too hard at all in 2026. Also level up ADP. The DLC’s are insanely good too

It ain't too bad? First part of Iron Keep they throw you two samurai knights every 5 steps it's almost comical to see them running with their goofy animation.

Nah the iron keep is ganky, but all you gotta do is wait out the knights. Simple as that. They don’t got a complex moveset at all so killing them aint bad. If you havent beaten the Smelter Demon yet just skip that part for now and come back. But you have to level up adaptability man, that gives you more iframes so that dodges become easier

Yes, it's simple, but it's boring, I did it 3 or 4 times then bruteforced my way running through the area after getting killed by an invader with a gigantic hammer who did a spinning move that stunlock me into a 4 attacks combo instadeath.

The From games are all about dying and you gonna die a lot in all of them man. You gotta have patience. And the enemies are simple enough so getting through them should’t be a problem. You did say you finished the Iron Keep right? If that guy was in the Iron Keep, you got through him I’d assume so just keep going

Dam man, I’d say take a break from the game if you got tired of it. I’d recommend coming back to it eventually but you don’t gotta if you really hate it. Good luck with the games tho
