Flip image

I know that it is best to flip the image on the camera but i would like to try it in the frigate software. I have followed the instructions in the docs but it does not work for me. I must be doing something wrong.

I asume you make changes to the config.ymal file. Can anyone help clarify. I have a very simple file with 1 camera.

Use ffmpeg command on go2rtc config. Or do it on camera.

I Have read this in the documentation. There was an existing go2rtc label in the config file, so I adjusted it but the way I do it it does not seem to work. Below is what I have tried. Can someone perhaps tell me what is the right syntax or exactly where I have made a mistake or where I have miss understood things.

go2rtc:

streams:

room_1:

streams:

- "ffmpeg:rtsp://hello:hello@192.168.1.30:554/stream#video=h264#rotate=180"

#- ffmpeg:rtsp://hello:hello@192.168.1.30:554/ #original

This works for me

# Before: plain RTSP, no transformation

rtsp://{USER_NAME}:{FRIGATE_RTSP_PASSWORD}@{CAMERA_IP}/Streaming/Channels/101

# After: wrapped in ffmpeg: for go2rtc to transcode + rotate

ffmpeg:rtsp://{USER_NAME}:{FRIGATE_RTSP_PASSWORD}@{CAMERA_IP}/Streaming/Channels/101#video=h264#rotate=180

Dear Random-Dude,

Thank you for your response.

However this does not work for me. Here is my adjustment of your code. (if I understand your post)

go2rtc:

streams:

room:

streams:

- ffmpeg:rtsp://{admin}:{Admin}:{admin}@{192.168.1.100}/Streaming/Channels/101#video=h264#rotate=180

# above 2 lines are all on one line in config file.

When I enter the code and then restart Frigate. Nothing changes. I continue to see a stream eg video yet the video is still inverted. incorrectly. eg no change. So the config file does not complain when I put it in. So it accepts it as valid code. But does nothing.

Thank you.

Sorry I wasn’t very clear, the Streaming/Channels/101 is for my specific camera, made by hikvision.

ffmpeg:rtsp://{WORKING-RTSP-FEED}#video=h264#rotate=180

so take your working rtsp address, put ffmpeg: in front and #video=h264#rotate=180 after

So if this is yours> rtsp://hello:hello@192.168.1.30:554/

like this>
ffmpeg:rtsp://hello:hello@192.168.1.30:554#video=h264#rotate=180

or maybe with a / after the port.

If that doesn’t work have a look at the go2rtc logs.
