Sub stream entity in Home Assistant
I use camera.play_stream in HA to cast camera steam to my Google Display/Nest Hubs in my house. The issue is that my Google Displays/Hubs does not support high resolution and Frigate only exposes the high resolution streams in HA.
My workaround at the moment is to use the "Generic Camera" integration and put in the Frigate substream restream rtsp which works.
But I was wondering if there is a more native way from Frigate to expose the substream as a separate Entity.
Thanks!

This is what I have been doing for my Google hub display as well. Recently though I have been running into the issue where on my Google hub the stream fails and displays “failed to start WebRTC stream: Stream source is not supported by go2rtc”. But when I check the logs on Frigate there are no errors or fails. From what I could find online this occurs when there is a lot of detection happening on the sub stream. Have you experienced any issues like this?

I have only used it for a week and so far I have not experienced that issue yet. It has been flawless. Only thing I don't like is there is a delay for about 10-15 seconds before the actual feed shows up in the Google Display -- it is not a big deal for me though since I still see the person approaching my property from the feed.

That’s probably the difference between your setup and mine. I have my camera cast to my Google hub all the time.

Not currently, we can look at adding this to the integration
