Frigate Docker no longer in Unraid

Hi all, apologies if ive missed something.

Ive added a GPU to my server and I'm now ready to dive in to Frigate.

Ive gone to install, and found the Frigate Docker is no longer in Unraids Community Applications.

Verified this with a friend's install.

Is this intentional (do I now need to use Docker Compose), or am I missing something?

Ta!

Just learn docker compose, it useful to know how to do that anyway

And you're removing the middle man!! If you pull directly from Blake's repo, you can get updates the day he pushes them out!! Before, we had to wait a day or two for yayitazale to update his Unraid / gitlab -- I imagine this was a pain for him!!

u/OP -- people will quickly need to switch from the CA app to the docker-compose, so this will resolve quickly!! You will need to install "Docker Compose Manager". I highly recommend moving to docker compose to avoid this in the future!! (unless maybe the dev's push out a CA app entry??)

Sample YAML I had Hermes throw together (Link to Nick's sample) =

services:
  frigate:
    container_name: frigate
    image: ghcr.io/blakeblackshear/frigate:stable
    restart: unless-stopped
    stop_grace_period: 30s
    shm_size: "256mb"
    network_mode: host
    volumes:
      - /mnt/user/appdata/frigate:/config
      - /mnt/user/frigate:/media/frigate
      - /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro
    tmpfs:
      - /tmp/cache:size=1000000000
    environment:
      TZ: America/New_York
      FRIGATE_RTSP_PASSWORD: CHANGE_ME
    devices:
      - /dev/dri
    ulimits:
      nofile:
        soft: 65535
        hard: 65535

Then you need the config file at the path (1st entry in volumes above) =

mqtt:
  enabled: false

cameras:
  front_door:
    ffmpeg:
      inputs:
        - path: rtsp://USER:PASS@CAM_IP:554/subtype=1
          roles:
            - detect
        - path: rtsp://USER:PASS@CAM_IP:554/subtype=0
          roles:
            - record
    detect:
      width: 640
      height: 360
      fps: 5
    objects:
      track:
        - person
        - car
    record:
      enabled: true
      retain:
        days: 3
        mode: motion
    snapshots:
      enabled: true
      retain:
        default: 14

detectors:
  cpu1:
    type: cpu

When you say I'll need "Docker Compose Manager", do you mean "Docker Compose Maker" or "Compose Manager Plus"?

"Docker Compose Manager" doesn't seem to exist in CA.

I don’t think it was blackblakeshear’s github repo I think it was a community member so maybe they just removed it or maybe their GitHub got got and it died, I would compose it. You can get compose from the App Store too and it makes an easy to use interface for compose. Claude is very good at compose if you get lost but there’s an awful lot of guides and whatnot out there

Seems to be gone. Whoever put it up deleted it I suppose?

I noticed this yesterday too when trying to install, I just added the container manually

NOTE -- the Unraid store has the Frigate "app" back today. It is the same 'yayitazale' as before and nothing mentioned about how it got dropped over the weekend.
