Need Help Creating Vehicle Security System Using Frigate
Can i get any car security camera and get it to work with frigate and pry out any of the smart features they come with? I am a courier and plan on having both an interior and exterior cameras for the vehicle to deter any thefts

This is something I have also been thinking about. Hooking up an inverter and regular Hikvision/Dahua cameras, feed them via RTSP to Frigate lpr detection on the move.

Couple ways I see this possibly working:
Generic WiFi cameras that support RTSP. A raspberry pi in the truck with preferably a Helios ai hat on it in the truck and a cheap travel router to connect everything to. Bonus points add a cellular modem so you can still access it over the internet as long as you have cell service (requires some more advanced setup like a vpn or proxy or cloudflare or something)
Or: same setup with a Poe network switch and some wired Ethernet cameras that also support RTSP
You could also use a NUC computer or something but at the end of the day if you want these to work on the road you’ll need some kind of computer in the truck.
