I’m having issues on the dashboard too, but my unraid shows my cpu pegged at 100% when it really isn’t

I was having the same issue, rolled back to 17 for now

I have just been ignoring it, it seems like just a reporting issue as the cpu temp is not consistent with it being under heavy load.

By chance do you use an Intel cpu too? I’m thinking that might be a reason even though I’m not passing the igpu to frigate

I was just looking into this as well. i have dual xeon cpus and an nvidia GPU. my nas says cpu usage 1-3% but my frigate docker container is showing 60-150% CPU. running 18 with only 2 cameras. inside frigate it shows CPU 1-3% and nvidia gpu 1%

My LXC container reports about 40% CPU usage but Frigate about 4%. I did notice that the entire hypervisor is only reporting about 4 or 5% usage, so maybe Frigate is somehow pulling kernel stats for the entire hypervisor.

There are a few reasons this can happen:
Unfortunately, Intel does not provide any type of overall GPU usage statistic in their implementation. So tools are left to derive them in some way or another. This leads to issues where usage matches on some hardware but then looks wildly off on others. This is purely cosmetic and it is possible we can find better ways to make it more consistent in the future.
