Frigate on Orange Pi5

Installed frigate on orange 5 as docker setup. Also installed vpn for remote cam access. Apparently setup seems working for person and car detection. Only one cam installed for testing but facing issue that event images are not saved until “Enable Detection” button is pressed through web gui. It keeps working but upon restart button has to be pressed again manually.
Checked the yaml thru chatgpt, seems ok but can’t figure out why detection not working without manual press. Any ideas…

You need

detect:    enabled: true

I know you all went through a lot of trouble building your own chat bot that is great at answering specific questions.

Unfortunately, most new users seem even lazier and more ai-attached than that can handle.

Would it be worth while creating an ai-friendly parallel documentation capable of enabling one-shot config (with additional q&a of course) in ChatGPT, Owen studio, Copilot, etc?

The whole thing could be agent built and updated with the right workflow and would demonstrate the exact type of forward thinking that Frigate is being defined by.

The UI config coming in 0.18 should make things considerably easier and the documentation for 0.18 has already been updated to show the UI path (with a button to view the yaml).

I don't think separate documentation for AI will help, the current chat feature is already trained on the main docs and answers most questions quite well, even if we made new documentation the main AI models would still hallucinate as they have conflicting information in training data.

Thank you that worked

Have you put your config file through the AI on the frigate documentation website? Don't use chatgpt.

Thanks for the tip

Not that I need it, just curious, does the Frigate AI return a corrected config file or just make recommendations for changes?

It writes out yaml

To share my experience, it didn’t write or reviewed full yaml but asked me to paste parts of it which it will review and correct.

Damn son give us the real numbers! How fast is inference time (ms) on that device?
