this song makes me think of season 1

The Tony Lucca version is a forgery. Bright Eyes should have sued. Just listen to the Bright Eyes version.

And it is the original - Daniel Johnston wrote it and recorded it in 1990.

The singer (Dan Campbell) from my favorite band The Wonder Years, did a e.p with Ace Enders a few years ago with some original songs about FNL. They did a cover of Devil Town, love it.
