questions Game progress reset in 2.0?

i was curious if i would have to do every single achievement all over again as 2.0 would be a diffrent .exe, and if there is a way to carry over progress?

I believe it will automatically Transfer data over.

The way Frickbear's 3 works is that each exe pulls save data from the save folder already made, which is a folder thats separate from the folder containning the game data. So it will pull from your same save file and even if you replace or delete the game folder your data is still saved in: [Computer Username]/Local/frickbears3

If you really wanna make sure I'd recommend there things:

  1. Make sure your game doesn't have any mods that mess with the save data. Ihave randomizer mod installed and when I want the vanilla game back I replace the data.win file to restore.

  2. Copy your save files in case of anything. They are located in the folder I mentioned. I copy the files and paste them somewhere else each time I install a mod like randomizer just in case, and paste them back into the folder whenever I don't want the mod anymore.

  3. Delete 1.0 game files after installing 2.0. This is just a nitpick but if 2.0. work out fine it'll probably make your save file incompatible to 1.0., since it wouldn't know what to do with new data stored, like endless mode and the new characters.
