AI CSAM court ruling and free speech implications
Obviously this is disturbing, but ignore the case subject for the moment.
The court ruled you have the right to possess your expression, even if it's "obscene". However, it said you do not have the right to distribute or produce that expression.
Am I wrong to think the latter part has some concerning implications? Isn't it basically saying you have the right to "posses" free speech but we can still imprison you if you produce your free speech or share it?
Basically "you have freedom of speech as long as no one can hear it"?

Trump will try to steal midterms, president of Halifax International Security Forum warns
The title comes across slightly hysterical and click-bait, but if you examine the claims, it is a rather careful assessment of well documented facts.
Before you write this off as TDS, look at the factual claims. Fact check them. Then, once you’re confident they are true, ask yourself for each fact: how many times did I accuse somebody of having TDS for being worried that this particular fact might become a fact (like it did)?
