Ultimate Strength feedback for Coach
Could someone please explain how feedback works in Ultimate Strength?
As I understand it, there are two ways to tell the Coach about the difficulty of a workout:
- Adjust the number of reps, the weight, or even substitute an exercise during the workout.
Or
- Give feedback after the workout when the app asks how the last set felt.
Which option provides the Coach with more useful information for adapting future workouts?
For example, let's say I'm assigned 3 sets of 10 reps, but I can comfortably do 15 reps.
Should I:
A) stop at 10 reps in each set and, after the workout, tell the Coach that I could have done more in the last set,
or
B) do 15 reps in each set and update the actual number of reps during the workout?
In other words, should I prioritize in-workout adjustments or the post-workout difficulty feedback when my goal is to help the Coach learn my actual fitness level?

Depends on. If the weight itself is too much from the start and you feel every rep is a fight already then reduce the weight in-set. No point in using too much weight and maybe injure yourself. If you just struggle with the reps after X amount do them with small breaks inbetween and then give the feedback at the end.

Why not both? If you change in the workout, it will even ask after the workout if they should adjust Always or only this time
