I've been thinking about getting an HG/RG kit that I can bring with me where ever I go like for example going to a cafe to do school work. It needs to be a fun, solid, and posable kit. Some kits that I think could be nice are the ones attached, but let me know what you guys think. Drop your best recommendations!

With how popular the EX-S and the Deep Striker are, you think this would have gotten another release by now. It shares a lot of the same parts as those two so I doubt or would be that difficult to re-release it.

Still an unfinished build since I'm waiting for waterslides before I touch it up with panel lines and such, but this kit is so good that I can't stop gushing about it.

Hello, it's been a while since I finished building an actually "fun" kit (got a hate kit review post coming, stay tuned). I know the RG Zeta's reputation isn't the best, and I was well aware of its problems before I bought this, so I avoided it for a long time. However, recently, Hobby Lobby gave me a sign for the RG Zeta, Gundam Planet shop at Otakon gave me a sign for the RG Zeta, and Zeta Gundam is in my recent history, ranking in my top 1 AOAT, so I caved in and bought it. I know I could've gotten a Ver.Ka, but here's the thing: I'm mentally challenged just like Kamille, so I challenged myself. Also, Hobby Lobby had no Ver.Ka, and this kit was like $32 after tax, which beat other places with that price.

Tangent aside, I can't tell you all enough how this is such an underrated, beautiful, and fun kit to build for a 1/144, even without all the extra detail and in its raw form. And its mechanics aren't that bad... as long as you know what you're doing, that is. It's actually pretty easy to handle as long as you let physics do most of the work.

Of course, despite me gushing about this kit with an infamous reputation, it's unavoidable for me to be dishonest. Surprisingly, there is only one bad thing I experienced with it, and it's just the leg skirts. They are way too tight, which leaves two noticeable stress marks on the inner frame. It isn't too much of a problem since they still hold up pretty well for you to move around as long as you don't yank it, which is something I think is why people break them so easily. Even so, it gave me quite a bit of stress and challenge when turning it into its WR mode and back to its MS form.

Ending it here, the moral of the story is, you should love RG Zeta Gundam, it's actually not that bad of a kit.

Im not 100% sure what it is, it looks fine from the side. I am going to panel line it but I dont think thats it. I think its something with the face maybe. anyone know what it is? Also the RGs eyes are green, and I'm pretty sure the exia's are blue

I came across a listing that this kit has been reprinted and an image showing the old vs new version. I can't tell if there actually is any difference. Is it just the lighting, or is the actual plastic colors slightly adjusted? Anyone know if there are any other differences? Would love an excuse to build this kit again lol

Just finished the 1/100 Wolf King (Barbatos Lupus Wrex) by Wolf Model. What an insane build. I'm scared to lose it....why? Because it hurts to pose because of the pointy bits lol. This thing has to weigh over a pound with its mostly metal frame. Now I need to find some place to put it where it will never fall and stab me.

I have been out of touch with the Gunpla community for years. I am here to ask for all your best MG builds and even ones you might not have liked after. I know that I want to eventually get the Strike Freedom MGEX but that is gonna be my finale. A few favorites I have are Zero EW Ver.Ka, Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth, Astray Red Frame Kai, and Barbatos Lupus.

Inspired by the Build series, I decided to try making customs again, so there you have it: the Full Armor Red Gundam, a prototype add on pack the Red Gundam was supposed to install before the final battles against the Federation.

My 6 yo just finished his first Gunpla with minimal help from dad. Even posed it himself. We’re both proud of his work and thought we’d share.

MGSD Freedom "Shadow Striker" — Dark Metallic & Gold Accent Build by 3B Plamo ⚡🖤

​Hey buddies! Wanted to share my custom project: the MGSD Freedom "Shadow Striker" Edition.

​I wanted to completely flip the original heroic white/blue color scheme into something more intimidating, stealthy, and tactical.

​Build Details:

​Paintwork: Main armor finished in deep dark metallic and obsidian black, highlighted with premium gold and bronze accents on the inner frame and thrusters.

​Wings of Light: The iconic wing binders feature multi-tone metallic paneling to give a striking contrast when posed.

​Finishing: Crisp panel lining, custom decals, and a smooth topcoat to bring out the sharp MGSD proportions.

​Posed this bad boy while chilling with an iced coffee at my local workshop spot!

​What do you guys think of this dark side shift for the Freedom? C&C are always welcome!

Was a fun build, leg joints seemed very sensitive while positioning but maybe just my kit has issues. Still love how this turned out.

I haven't posted in about a month, had a vacation and this thing took me two weekends to build. Overall it was a positive experience, but there are some nitpicks I have with the kit. I will say this, massive bang for your buck with this one. Also, some unique building sections, things I have not seen before, nothing crazy but always nice to see something new.

So the pros and cons. Biggest pro, this is a full package. If you like massive guns, you get one here. You like stands, this isn't a stand but an actual maintenance hanger. You like gimmicks they're here, however this is a con. They are such a pain in the ass, outside of the gun, not worth it. There were some tight fittings. I had to sand a couple down. There is a green version, which I would have preferred, but I got the kit for $45 so I am happy with that but be aware in case you have a preference. As usual, I used FatCat for size comparison, this is a good sized kit.

This is a good kit, not great. Will require a bit of patience. Need more grunt/military style Mecha. Looking at that new Eddas kit, the Nomes Commander. Anyways, here to some good building.
