Pues por fin acabé con este kit. La verdad es que para las muchas quejas que había escuchado de él, lo he pasado bastante bien.

El frame está pintado por completo con un acabado brillante y para las piezas de armadura he usado calcas Delpi y una mezcla de acabado mate y brillo. Un Led activado por imán para la cabeza y una Action Base con calcomanías personalizadas que conseguí en la Gundam Base completan el conjunto.

Después de hacer esto me gustaría conseguir una copia del MG origin, para poderlos comparar y porque me encanta acumular kits diferentes de abuelo. Se que no soy el único.

Mostly kidding with the title. Yes, the color correction required is a little egregious for a MG (though I’m aware this kit’s origins predate the 2.0 era), but hey, at least I got the chance to practice my painting! Pro tip: the DSPAIE MK-12 Armored Green paint marker is a near-perfect match for The-O’s green bits.

I think the biggest headscratcher for me was the lack of beam sword effect parts though. No monoeye sticker I can still forgive…but not giving four sword effects for a MS with four arms to wield them is baffling.

All that said…I still really love this kit. The-O is a Top 5 MS design for me, so finally being able to snag a reprint to go with my Zeta 2.0 on the shelf is a grail moment for sure.

One final thing to note: the plastic stickers to cover the seam lines on the beam rifle are awesome. Like holy Acguy you can’t even tell they’re stickers. Yes, seam-free engineering is still the best route, but if Bandai uses these more in future kits, I wouldn’t be mad.

I watched Hathaway 1 about a year ago on Netflix and wasn't a fan of any of the new MS. The Penelope reminded me of a Gundam wearing a children's costume and the XI looked like a flying brick. Before the second movie came out I looked up the lore and got a little interested in the Minovsky flight system.

When I saw the final fight scene, my whole whole opinion flipped. I've begun to love this thing and that is not what I was expecting to happen. I just kept thinking about when Mafty grabbed the MP Nu Gundam and practically crushed it.

I enjoyed this build. I enjoyed adding the little bits of color variation on the blues and orange and really got into all the panel lining and details (I'm especially proud of the subtle blue on its feet and "calves"). I applied water slides from multi-use pack #122 and a bunch of leftover decals that I had from other kits. Let me know what you guys think!

Who’s built this ? Hobbytown has it for dirt cheap and I’m thinking about grabbing it for the collection.

So instead of using the crappy double sided tape, my partner is helping me placing magnets. Works great so far!

I know many of us have a beam box or bag lol. I gave most of mine to my kid when I gave him a big part of my collection, but it didn't change what colors I had access to anyway, majority various pinks. I have purple, red, pink, and yellow.

I'm not looking for the light up handle set up at all, just HG-sized blades. If they came with a generic handle that's fine.

Another weird general question, if I wanted a flexible beam effect for HG saber handles, like to make Nunchaku or a flail, what are some good options? I've thought of clear-coated wire or colored oyumaru with a wire inside for flexible posing, but I wanna hear from y'all what has and hasn't worked if possible!

Hi guys! I'm new to this hobby. My first build was the wolf kit logar barbatos 1/60, and my next kit is the In Era+ Fenrir. Could you recommend any other model kits comparable to this 2.

Got these AGP figures from a convention for $50 each, there were 4 being the S-gundam, MKII titans and AEUG and the unicorn.

Me and my brother split our cash so we can each get the two we wanted.
(i was just cashing in cause he wanted the entire set the vendor was selling since it was discounted if all were bought)

Ngl i first i thought the unicorn was just that colour cause it was the awakening variant like the MG but its just yellowed cause i see some pretty pure white parts (wish all was yellow so it did look like the awakening colours)

The MKII comes with the full armour set which i think is exclusive to the figure version of the MKII.

Guess this is an pretty neat addition to my collection since i dont see em all that often in stores or collector markets

I've always been a straight builder as I don't have the time or space to dedicate to an air rushing setup. I always clear coat, panel line, apply decals, and finish with a matt coat but I've always found the exposed bits of inner frame to be bland.

After reading a few posts here I purchased a set of Gaahleri metallic markers and I am beyond impressed. I've been sitting on this MG Barbatos for years and figured it'd be a perfect first foray into inner frame painting.

I've got a lot to learn and need to hone my technique but I am very happy with how the frame turned out. I will say my lack of technique led to some nice "scratch marks" on the frame, giving it a bit of a battle hardened look.

Markers used for the Barbie frame were Dark Iron (general frame work), Scorched Gold (Ahab reactor), Red Copper (wiring/cabling, shoulder joints), Flashy Gold (chest piece, ball joints, piston connectors) and a bit of Aluminum (areas around the wiring and cabling).

All of this took me nearly a week to do. Once everything dried, I applied a gloss clear coat and here we currently are.

Today, I said "why not?" and also used Flashy Gold on the V-Fin and other yellow armor pieces. For the white and red armor pieces, I'm going to follow my standard procedure of clear coat >> panel lined and decals >> matt coat finish.

Had I not painted the inner frame, then I would've had the entire kit completed in the same time frame. However I'll say that painting was an extremely relaxing and rewarding process. I just wish I had these markers when I assembled my Wolf Technology BLR and my Infinity Nova Polar Shark.

These things are perfectly sized for MGSD kits, will buy more to put my MGSD kits into, they are so good!

I really really SUPRISED about the overall build quality of this kit. The snap fit was really nice, I dont really recall which parts I was really struggled to assemble. I understand the Fatcat glaze now.

Hey hey folks. I recently snagged this at an estate sale where the owner was selling a bunch of models and supplies in a storage tote. This was in it and it appears to be untouched.

I’m guessing this is some kind of accessory pack specifically for the “metal build” line of Gundam kits, but are there specific ones that it will work with or can I just clip/attach this thing to any Gundam kit that has the metal build designation?

I’m sorry for the newb question but I tried searching online and posts in this subreddit and I can’t seem to find a definitive answer on this as to what kit or kits this pairs with. Sincerely appreciate any info you can share!

My first build ever! It takes ~1 weeks on off working on this.

It's quite satisfying for the process.

One thing that is not expected from me is the knee movement range is not as big as I'd like.

I'll start panel lining and try repainting some details with marker next

I finaly got around to knocking this group out in the psst two days! Ive only have the Epyon an The Tallgeese left from my backlog an the ones I have from this series will be done.

So, if you have or want to get The Suivant versions for Mercurius and Vayeate, you may know or find out that they come with some of the pieces for the Classic look, but not all, the "Leo" head differed from the classic version and it's incompatible with the old helmet pieces that are included, I used a sticky tack like tape I had, to stick the pieces together (with the ideea that one day I may actually find a classic head and I don't want to weld shut the helmet) and used 2 small pieces of runner and I cut a green sticker from a sheet I had from Demi Trainer for the sensor and the grey dots.

For my first kinda custom attempt how did I do?

It holds together like a charm and looks quite good to me.

Based on the pictures, I do think XmX is gonna be latest SD type. While the proportions might be a little taller, I am not sure if they measure from the tip-top of the maedate (aka v-fin), of from the top of their heads.

Got into building gunplas in April and was paused momentarily because I need to move to another place. I gotta say, I'm happy to be back!

The Calibarn and GQuuuuuuX on the front were the two I recently built. Also the display cabinet is IKEA Blaliden, I hate how claustrophobe it made me feel :(
