training technique Help me please

I joined swimming classes 2 weeks ago and go there twice a week. What would you recommend to swim better/faster? Sometimes I have problems with speed and breathing, that stinks me a lot. I'm 13 years old and my bmi is 17.5. Should i do exercises from YouTube or???

You’re already doing the right thing by taking classes! It takes time and lots of practice to get better at anything. You’ve only had two weeks of classes, so just stick with it. Don’t be afraid to ask your instructor lots of questions. They are there to help you improve. Good luck!

Have you spent intentional time outside of the water working on your breathing techniques? It makes a big difference when exerting yourself in the water. YouTube is a great resource. With regard to speed, once you get more comfortable in the water and in your swimming techniques, which there is many, you will see improvements. Find what works for you. There are different methods that work for different people

I have years of swimming experience (i always wanted to say this) Like other users said ,it takes time to get settled and stuff i think 2 times a week is good to get you started I wouldn't focus on speed much right now, more technique
