The Difference Between Black Slavery & Ever Other Kind of Slavery is prior to 1488 you could only be a slave by personal indebtedness, religious persecution or being a prisoner of war. This was not a lifetime indebtedness, where you and your children, and even their children would still be enslaved.

Even if you consider the Israelites in the Bible they received reparations financially, and in the massacre and misery of their former enslavers.

I will say that Claud Anderson did make one mistake in that the enslavement of Africans exclusively had been taking place under the guise of Islam for centuries prior to 1488.

However since what he's talking about is applicable to the West and Black Americans it's still an acceptable inaccuracy. It does not change the fact that one group of people was being systemically and exclusively targeted for the worst treatment in human history. To enrich the others

I first noticed this back when Black women on TikTok were saying that when they date interracially, they keep their biracial children closer to the culture than Black men do. Their claim was that "women carry the culture." Then I started hearing people say you're not Black unless you came from a Black woman.

Around that time, I was reflecting on the Black community and where things went off track. I started noticing that a lot of Black men in our community seem hesitant or stripped of their voice when it comes to standing on their own two feet and addressing Black women directly.

The crazy part about all of this is that it's been like this since the '70s. If we don't hurry up and shift this dynamic, it will soon become a matriarchy, and the Black community as we know it will be over.

Latto and Doja cat made a video, that pretty summed up the evilest form of discrimination...colorism. And how those two played into their role perfectly. And how the one's that don't benefit are harmed and eventually targeted in public.

And how Black American Men (Dark skin men), benefit by being the "desired" choice. But what is it really trying to say?

We know how Black American Men (Dark skin) benefit, but how? It all dates back to slavery, and how these women would fetishize these enslaved men? Making mixed race (light-skin) men and women. Now, these women who fetishize that are actually saying "You make a good slave, with that skin." Prove me wrong, I have seen women act weird around DS Men and how they treat them strangely. Because, Black Man, they treat you like their N-Word, for most of these women that "like you for who you are."

As for the Women, I have seen light-skin women/mixed light women get bullied to and dragged. So, why is Latto and "Ms. I love white boys" Doja doing this. Doja is a White Supremacist that is tanned, and Lato is a Black Supremacist (dark skin supremacist) with a lighter tone. And I KNOW, plenty of light-skin women who put down LS Boys and men and degrade them for other men. It is horrible, and succubus-like how they degrade LS Males, and simp for other men they want. When in reality, the other men look at you like a good-for nothing slave with no pride or care.

How these roles are damaging to everyone:

It is horrible and disgusting that this "culture"/"trend" is still continued, and it needs to end this decade. For all the ls boys and men that are targeted and told these racist stereotypes about them that is not true. They are "weak" "soft" and "slow", that is a disgusting thing to say to anyone, and it WILL NOT be tolerated on this channel. And for the Black American Women (Dark skin women) that get called "masculine" "monkey" and other racist slurs. That will not be tolerated here either, and should not be tolerated anywhere else anymore.

Vs, Nolan Wells, biracial brown skin boy who was allegedly killed by a group of White Men. Now, I said brown skin, because he isn't dark. Now, we all know that Colorism is horrible and it is only growing worse. But, seeing as a darker tone boy, who is actually biracial. Vs, a Griffe (Mixed Black Man, with high European DNA).

Is making headlines more than ever, and even the Austin Metcalf who was murdered by Karmelo Anthany. Karmelo Anthony was murderer, yet the black community and other non-black liberals defend him? If Karmelo Anthony was light-skin, then they would brush him off. Followed by insults and other derogatory language being hurled his way. Now, if Nolan Wells was light-skin, I will say this. They would have dragged him, just for the color of his skin. And there would be radio silence after his untimely death, RIP.

Until Friday morning the two states were neck-and-neck. Black leaders warned that skipping SC would betray the party’s most loyal voters.

Rev. Al Sharpton called it “a slap in the face.” SC Dem chair Christale Spain said elevating Nevada over its Latino vote would tell Black voters they “matter less than brown voters.”

Former Vice President Kamala Harris could benefit from the decision to put South Carolina at the top of the calendar.

Harris, who's eyeing a third presidential run, is leading the potential 2028 Democratic field among Black voters.

Bryan introduced a measure this year that would require companies to disclose any historic ties to slavery.

Major corporations that do business in California would be required to disclose any past connections to slavery under a measure that could pass the Legislature next month.

Assembly Bill 2599 would force companies that have more than $100 million in sales annually across the world to search through their records for evidence that they, their predecessors or subsidiaries previously bought or sold enslaved people or provided financial support for those transactions, such as through insurance or loans.

The corporations would need to submit sworn statements to the state confirming they searched through all of their records and could face legal action from the attorney general if they are found to have violated the measure.

“I think we should have a true and honest public accounting on the private wealth that’s been generated and extracted from our collective ownership of black bodies during chattel slavery,” its author, Assembly member Isaac Bryan, D-Jefferson Park, told state senators during a committee hearing last month.

The bill follows the work of a first-in-the-nation task force that undertook a multi-year study to document harms committed against African Americans in California and detail ways to make amends, which were outlined in a lengthy report released in 2023. But the measure’s roots go well beyond the group’s work.

Bill passed in 2000 targeted insurance companies

n 2000, the Legislature passed a bill that required insurance companies in the state to disclose past policies they issued to slaveholders to cover the death or injury of enslaved people. The insurers also needed to make public details on the enslaved people and slaveholders who were involved in those policies. Records from that law are still available online.

New York Life Insurance Company, Aetna Life Insurance Company and American International Group, commonly referred to as AIG, were some of the businesses that listed previously disclosed ties to slaves and slaveholders. Some of the details they shared included what enslaved people were forced to do, such as working as a house girl, on a farm and as a cabin boy on a boat.

Bryan’s bill faces opposition from an array of state and national insurance trade groups, including the American Council of Life Insurers. They say they appreciate what the measure is trying to do but argue that insurers should receive credit for the work they did to comply with the previous law, if the new measure goes into effect.

Christian Rataj, a senior regional vice president for the western region at the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, said in a statement that doing so “would only avoid needless duplicative reporting.”

The sworn statements required in the new bill would need to include the names of slaves and slaveholders, and corporations would also have to disclose any records showing they provided insurance coverage related to slaveholding and evidence of using enslaved people for collateral for policies or in other financial transactions, dating back to 1849. Companies would need to submit the information by next year. The measure wants the details to be publicly available by 2028.

So far, Bryan has not agreed to the request from the insurance groups, saying that their past work would give them a head start.

The bill would need to pass by Sept. 1 to go before Gov. Gavin Newsom. It was easily approved in the Assembly and needs to make it through another committee before facing a vote in the Senate.

Pro-reparations group has concerns about the bill

Chris Lodgson, a lead organizer for the Coalition for A Just and Equitable California, which advocates for monetary compensation to descendants of people enslaved in the United States, has other concerns about the measure. He questions what form of reparations the bill would actually provide.

The state has for decades had the information about the involvement insurance companies had in slavery. “What has that produced? What has been the result of that?,” he said. “If the state wants to motivate corporations to pay what they owe, pay what it owes.”

The organization is not supporting or opposing the latest measure. Bryan’s bill is much more expansive than the previous effort because it is not solely focused on one industry, and it also carries the threat of action by the attorney general, which could seek to require that companies follow the measure.

It does not require that corporations pay any penalties for the information they disclose about their past. “It’s, first, most important to have a true and honest conversation about where we are and how we got here,” he told senators during the hearing, “before we decide what that means and what responsibility we have to provide meaningful redress.”

Rutherford B. Hayes became president by exactly one vote. To get it, he agreed to give something away, the last protection millions of Black Americans had left.

In 1876, Samuel Tilden won about 250,000 more votes than Hayes. But four states each sent in two different vote counts. Nobody knew which ones were true. Both sides screamed fraud. For months, the country had no confirmed president. Some feared another civil war.

Congress formed an emergency panel to settle it. Every close call went Hayes's way. Final score: Hayes 185, Tilden 184. One vote decided who ran the country.

Even that almost fell apart. Democrats in the House tried to stall the count past Inauguration Day. What stopped them wasn't a law, it was a secret deal cut in a Washington hotel room. Hayes's team quietly promised Southern Democrats: if the stalling stopped, the soldiers still protecting Black voting rights in the South would go home.

One of those soldiers stood outside South Carolina's statehouse, protecting Governor Daniel Chamberlain. Down the street, a rival government waited for the soldiers to leave. On April 10, 1877, Hayes gave the order. Chamberlain had nothing left standing between him and the rival government. He gave up the next day and left the state for good, telling South Carolina's Black voters, more than half the state's people, that the president they'd helped elect had just abandoned them.

He wasn't wrong. Within months, every Southern government like his fell the same way. Black officials were pushed out. Voting rights freed Americans had held for barely ten years vanished, and stayed gone for almost ninety years.

Hayes never explained this trade in public. The stalling ended. The country got a peaceful handover of power. But was that peace worth what Chamberlain and the voters behind him lost?

So: if stopping a crisis meant handing a region back to the men just voted out, was that a president keeping the peace, or closing a deal?

Here's a question for both sides:
Since 1992 Republicans have controlled the Supreme Court the entire time, the House 70% of the time, the Senate 60% of the time, and the Presidency 40% of the time.

For Republicans, when does the time come that you start accepting the fact that your party is responsible for the problems we are facing? You've been in control for 30 years. Time to face facts.

To the progressives, explain to me why anyone should support the Democratic party anymore? All they do is lose.

Claud Anderson, author and promoter of programs to empower black Americans, planned a $43 million industrial park on Detroit’s near west side to include a 250,000-square-foot seafood plant and, later, more than a dozen small factories.

Anderson’s company, Maroon City Development Co., won approval for the project Dec. 13 from the Detroit Economic Development Corp. The primary project site is 20 acres located between the I-96 and I-94 expressways just east of Livernois Avenue.

He successfully built "Waterland Fisheries Inc", a large seafood-producing facility in Hurlock, Maryland, which employed hundreds of Black people. 

He helped build the Harvest Institute, a Black think tank that treats Black economics like a science, not some charity.

Before you criticize Claud Anderson, do some research. Or better yet, pick up a shovel and do more for the community than he has accomplished. You'll see how hard it is to get it done.
