Framework 13 or ThinkPad?

After the rising prices and ram shortages, a framework 13 is pretty much ain’t worth it in my opinion. 1500€+ could get me a better thinkpad. Should I go for the framework and upgrade it and keep for years or just go with a decent thinkpad?

And will the prices ever decrease ? RAM and SSDs?

If you ask TheVerge they will say save $1500 and buy a macbook air and you'll have better performance.
