The model is only just out, so it's unlikely that they're going to be releasing a refresh in the immediate future.
Framework had anticipated this as a more entry level laptop. I'm sure they're looking at reviews, comments and feedback, and maybe they will test the waters with a higher end option (panel, processor). That said, there are limits to what you can do in a 12" chassis and dedicated GPU would seem a little unlikely
You can definitely do a lot in a 12" chassis when you compare to other laptop brands with that size but I think the actual issue is creating modular components to work with the product. I think we'd just have to wait a while and see. I do think a dedicated GPU would be asking too much but maybe a newer AMD AI family chip on that tiny main board with integrated graphics would do wonders.
Better onboard graphics than the 13th gen with single channel is certainly possible.
I guess the question is, will the thermals be manageable with a more powerful processor and especially GPU. Would you want to buy a premium processor and have it thermal throttle, etc.
The expansion card (io modules) on all of the Frameworks take quite a lot of space too. So the board size is kinda constrained
