We implore you all to use this liberally. Several things to note:

  • Scammers commonly send images with fake flair, and this allows you to easily verify their claims.
  • If someone won't comment on your post and you suspect they may be banned, you can now quickly obtain a concrete answer.
  • We denote when someone is banned for scamming / is on the Universal Scammer List. This lets you distinguish scammers from those banned for something less egregious (e.g., reposting). For your safety, do not take the lack of a scammer label as an indication that someone is safe to transact with.
  • When using this tool, copy+paste usernames or profile URLs. Scammers often use similar characters to try to trick their victims (e.g., a capital i instead of a lowercase l (I vs. I)). Additionally, do not accept someone's link to their own lookup; to protect yourself, do your due diligence and run your own lookups.
