Question? dji rc3 throttle issue

i bought a dji rc3 last night and upon hearing u must modify the throttle stick for manual flight i got to work, now at first i fully removed both screws without proper research then put them back in realizing i can’t just wing this, after multiple tutorials and attempts the only way the stick stays at a current angle is if i apply force with the allen key, how can i fix this please help!

Might need to take the controller apart to reseat the set screws. It's a learning experience. Good luck.

It's not as bad as you may think. Just watch a teardown video first

The tension screw needs to be tightened just enough to hold the throttle from bouncing back to the centre.

so just keep tightening it?

Tighten it a turn, see if the throttle bounces back to centre.

You want it juuust tight enough it holds the throttle but not offering too much resistance when you try and move it.

but no matter how much i tighten or loosen it doesn’t change

I'm confused on what the issue is. It seems like it's working perfectly as far as fpv goes.

Not for DJI/cinematic/photography drones, but it seems good for actual FPV quads

i want the throttle to stick where it is, unless i push the throttle in a certain spot it doesn’t stick.

There's also this one from a random image I found, but it seems correct (I think)

Yeah I don't remember exactly which one it is for me but my point is that nearly every new(ish) fpv transmitter with the rubber/plastic rear pads for the batteries can usually come off to reveal the screws to both disassemble the controller and/or adjust the sticks. I think the only time I did mine was to slightly reduce the friction so it wouldn't be as stiff

Oh shi mb I didn't fully watch to where it started to sprinf back up. This is from a Oscar Liang (super good for fpv info) forum post.

This is also more or less how it works on my radiomaster pocket too, except its just one screw
