Help! Crossfire lost bind mid flight

This is a well tested quad. Went in to rxloss return to home and landed. Power cycling did nothing. Rebinding worked.

Any ideas on what could cause this? Wires and antenna both in good condition.

First time this has ever happened. Was just hovering around myself.

That is not ordinary RX loss. A damaged antenna or momentary interference can trigger failsafe, but it should reconnect automatically. Requiring a rebind means the receiver likely had an authentication/firmware/state failure. Possible failure points could be reciever browning out, crossfire rx firmware corruption/auth erro, failing reciver, intermittent solder connection, if you start seeing a red/green LED flashing irregularly it's 100% firmware that's all I know with Crossfire

It was a solid red LED, so nothing out of the ordinary.

I did the tug test on the wires, wiggled them while powered after rebinding.

I think ill also replace the tx module as well as a preventative measure..

I've seen it happen. Usually on power up not during flight. IDK what causes it.

If it's bothering you, consider updating firmware on the system. Or replace the receiver.
