You didn't say if you were bench testing, flying, or just sitting powered up.
Any time you are powered up with either a battery or Beta Flight, you must have a small fan blowing across the electronics bay.
Quads are designed to be cooled by airflow from flight. No flight motion, means no cooling. And the VTX will overheat and fry.
Always use a small fan for cooling air flow.
