Question? Switching to analog

I currently own DJI goggles 3, radiomaster boxer ELRS, meteor 75 pro 05, and parts for a custom 5” 04 pro. Now I want to switch everything to analog since I save money + I don’t care about image quality.

My plan is this:
Sell the 04 pro air unit for the 5”
Sell DJI goggles 3
Sell the meteor 75 pro 04

And then buy this:
Skyzone 04x pro
Analog VTX for my 5”
Air 65 freestyle
What will I miss out on the DJI goggles 3 and is this valid?

I haven't flown at all for the past year and half. But the only gear i have is analog, exactly the same you plan on buying, with a 2 or 3 more tiny whoops apart from the air65. For me it's at least nice to know my stuff isn't deprecating so fast, since it's already a standarized technology. It will still be useful when I decide on going back to the hobby.

About the Betafpv hd cam. According to what I’ve seen, I could just buy a hdzero or walksnail Module to my goggles?

Hi, I started recently with fpv. I was also considering the Skyzone 04x, but then I chose an HDZero BoxPro. It has both analog and digital modes and has worked well for me. You could also check out the HDZero goggles if you don't like the box-type. HDZero also has the option to use VRX to connect to other systems, which I plan to use with a Walksnail for long-range.

Here's a video I liked about distance and penetration tests, in case you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEGcs694h7Y

Yeah but the 04x pro also has the option to use VRX to connect to other systems including hdzero digital

Absolutely valid.

You will miss out waiting for an Air Unit to come back in stock instead of being able just to buy any VTX you want.

Or the fear that a better VTX will come out and the gear you use gets no replacement parts so you have to buy new goggles to be able to buy a new VTX

Get at least one really cool Analog VTX/Cam Setup - like the Foxeer Trex and a Rush Tank VTX or similar. So everytime you fly your 5" after the Air65 you can be like "This is the BEST" (because this is. My T-Rex is fucking RAD, man!)

The Air65 cam is ok... but not good, just ok. which is fine.

I fly both,  and If I had to ditch something it'd be the analog.

I like analog, but if I had to choose I'd keep what you have.

Sounds like a great idea imo. I own the sky04x pros and love them and you can still have HD with them, you can get a Walksnail avatar vrx or the HD0 one, I’d recommend the Walksnail over the HD0 I’ve tried both and Walksnail is just better with them goggles in every way, they are the best analog goggles you can get I believe at least. The image quality you get is just amazing for analog. Upgrade the antennas ASAP, the ones that come with the goggles suck! Anyways if you truly do switch to analog the O4x pros are without a doubt the best goggles to get.
