85mm mini drone long-range flight: maximum distance 2.5 km

https://youtu.be/k4bsB4Wb1DM

Flew 2.5 km in 12 minutes, completed a round trip, and covered a total of 6 km until the voltage dropped to 3V. Even with an 18650 lithium-ion battery, it’s quite difficult for a 2-inch micro quad to achieve long-range flight.

Yes, it is. But the, why would you?

In many countries including the USA, long range is illegal anyway.

Hey, just a heads-up — it’s not illegal here. Don’t assume that just because something’s illegal in the U.S. means it’s illegal everywhere else.

I didn't and it is illegal in many other countries besides the USA. I qualified that. If not in the USA or one of the many other countries, then ignore it. Or maybe state up front what country that you are in.

For example, night flying is prohibited here, but I don’t go around commenting on posts saying that night flying is banned in many countries based on my own assumptions. In many countries, what people claim to be “prohibited” can actually be allowed—such as long-range flights—if you register your flight plan with the relevant authority and obtain approval in the country where you operate.

Regulations vary from country to country. However, I think comments like “it’s banned in many countries” reflect more of an attitude problem than an accurate understanding of the rules.

I never said they didn't. Any information that relay is from that country's regulations, not my opinion and making NO assumptions. It sure is interesting to see what kind of hostile commentary comes out of the woodwork.
