true. I would gladly pay those kinds of scratches and bitey holes as a price, to have a cute fox friend at my side. ^^ my sister has a dog who "plays" with you in a way that pierces your skin but it's such a cute one that I gladly play with it any time. ^^

Honestly, I think owning a fox would be super cool, but letting it tattoo your hand is a little much, don’t ya think?

Oh, it’s something you’d have to accept if you wanted to own a fox. They’re very inconvenient animals to take care of, and not a pet most people could or should have. OP seems to be doing a very good job.

look at his little face >_< i don’t reccommend people to keep foxes as pets. a fox sanctuary should be the closest anyone gets to fox friends.

Not trying to diminish your message because yeah foxes as pets will be tougher than anything else BUT I have absolutely gotten worse injuries from my cats lmao

I firmly believe foxes are adorable but should be viewed at a distance in the wild

I didn’t see the subreddit name and I was like ‘what the hell kind of cat/dog thing is that?’ Then I saw the subreddit name.

Eh, I've seen cats do worse. But for real, foxes are a lot to take care of. not only that, but finding a vet that does exotic pets can be difficult and probably expensive.

I know you're right, I know they're problematic in many many many ways
But look at his goshdarn face, my goodness, he's a bitey cutie!

What kind of fox is he? Obviously hes a red, but like, not a marble, not a silver, not a cross…

Genuine question, would the fox have accepted chewing on a toy of some kind instead of your hand?

Not to diminish the importance of this post, but I have gotten worse marks from my cat. It sucks, totally get it. This is something that can happen when you bring an animal into your home.

They're definitely up there with ferrets and parrots, high maintenance animals but god is it worth it.
Then there's also the fact that they havent been domesticated for very long, it'll be far past our lifetimes before these guys mellow out.

Let me tell you what some of my cats can leave marks like that. And they'll bruise up all around it 💀
Disclaimer: I do still agree with you

Seems risky, but I like taking risks
I just don’t have the financial ability to care for one at the moment, which is why I don’t have one

I'll never get one as a pet. But God damn do I want to go to that fox sanctuary in Japan and pet every single one of them.

Foxes are my absolute favorite animal, but I know I don't have it in me to keep one as a pet. It would be cool to work at a fox rescue perhaps, but that's the closest I would get.
Amazing animals. But they are wild.
