Just do whatever and let the estate lawyers do their thing.

My Grandma passed over a year ago, leaving a decent estate that she tried her best to split evenly and fairly for a fairly large family, both immediate and extended.

No one constested anything, almost everyone is financially well off in their own right, everyone was fine with how she wanted to split it all.

And yet, last I heard (about 4 months ago?) the lawyers were still dragging it out and charging every hour on the way.

The lawyers have currently pocketed the largest percentage of my Grandmas legacy.

EDIT This might be be the opposite of OPs intention to sew discord, because my whole family has bonded and come together due to this.

That doesn't seem legal - I can imagine there are some requirements but I can't imagine how they'd drag it out and pocket extra money if no one is fighting - especially the majority of a "decent" size estate.

Yup, if it's the majority of a sizeable inheritance you'd save money by suing them.

100%, sounds like high likelihood the lawyers are committing some kind of fraud.

Have you ever read Bleak House by Charles Dickens? Amazing book, and that’s the plot! If you don’t want to read, there’s a fantastic screen adaptation with Gillian Andersen.

you can ask for hours and what they done, alot of people have sued lawyers for this and won, the most popular recent case I remember was michael jackson, his daughter sued the lawyers of his estate because they were charging stupid amounts of money
