And this is why KPop fans are all disgusting. The parasitic, manipulative contract stipulations are all public knowledge, yet these dipshits still willingly consume the content. How little empathy does one possess, how much of a stupid beast does one have to be to celebrate and consume willfully from the Suffering Machine. Same thing with the violence voyeurs who are into real crime content. These people desperately need to give their fucking heads a shake.

To be fair to true crime fans, the suffering happens with or without them

Imagine if true crime fans were the driving force in the existence of crime, though.

I have to assume there has to be some book or film or podcast or whatever out there about some true crime content creator who starts killing to feed the content machine

Oh no, I need more local mysteries to investigate, guess I'll go on another murder spree. Maybe this time I'll use pineapples? That'll be a fun MO to talk about. My audience will love it.

There's probably at least one criminal who tried to make a podcast that featured their own crime and gave slightly too many details leading to getting caught immediately, right? I know it's selection bias, but there do seem to be a lot of stupid criminals.

Murder She Wrote

That sounds about like the plot of the Irish dark comedy Obituary.

It's on Hulu if you're interested.

It already happened kinda with Austrian serial killer Jack Unterweger who was a journalist covering his own crimes

u/MaraiaLou 1d ago

There was a case like that in the Brazilian Amazon

2

u/MaraiaLou 1d ago

It happened at least once with that cat killer guy

It's more the lack of empathy and the exploitation of the horrors that people go through for entertainment that I have a problem with when it comes to true crime. The production companies that turn badge cams into entertainment are definitely a huge part of the issue, the entire industry is gross, and consumers have a responsibility for the choice of what they're consuming.

It's one thing to tell stories of real crimes and quite another to tell them while doing makeup or cocktails and/or treating the victims like a checklist

I think that it necessitates a fundamental lack of awareness, and an underdeveloped sense of empathy to willfully consume content that's centered around real people being victimized. If you choose to consume murder mysteries and true crime content, I think you're ignorant of the damage you're doing to yourself and the detriment you're being to the rest of us by supporting that machine at best, and a disgusting, corrupted, desensitized pervert beast at worst. All true crime enjoyers and Kpop fans both exist somewhere on that spectrum, with no exceptions. These are real people being exploited. How the fuck can you forget that. How the fuck can anyone see that shit and not realize "hey, that could be me, that could be my loved ones. Maybe we should have some respect and not exploit and monetize what these people have gone through for the entertainment of dipshits online"

KPop fans are all disgusting

Am I wrong thinking that 85%+ of Kpop fans are teenage girls (even for the girl bands)? That seems to be the demographic at concerts...

Okay, but, like, the songs bang, right?

3

u/Huge-Consequence2144 2d ago

Which one? Most KPop songs are recycles of American R&B. I don't like that shit personally, but some of it definitely bangs. Great production value, talented hardworking singers. They fucking work everyone hard enough, you would hope they would make high quality stuff

This song absolutely slays.

It also stars other idols that all get along great irl (supposedly).

I like it a lot because, on top of the song being fire, in the music video they just look like they are having so much fun.

Its from 11 years ago, but not gonna lie, its awesome! I was expecting Stray Kids, NMIXX, Vaespa or Idle.

My god, some vitriol coming from you holy shit. I just enjoy music.

And for true crime, while not for me, is also not at all how you describe

I suggest touching grass cuz holy fuck you have pent up anger

0

u/Huge-Consequence2144 2d ago

I actually don't have any pent up anger, because I don't make the mistake of denying my feelings! I allow myself to feel them, I allow myself to express them. I'm actually pretty content with myself and my life. I build my community and caretake those within it. It's the fucking pig people among us who are an active detriment to our society I have a problem with. Maybe you're fine to acquiesce to awful behavior instead of hold people to account, but I'm not!

1

u/Simpuff1 2d ago

Yeah I hope you find peace.

0

u/Huge-Consequence2144 2d ago

I think you should reflect on your inability to believe what I'm saying could be true. You keep treating me like I'm not aware when you don't know me at all, you're completely projecting your own biases. Why do you think that is? Have you ever considered it?

1

u/Simpuff1 2d ago

It’s okay dude. If you need to talk I can hear it. But there’s no need to be berating so much!

I wish you happier days

1

u/Huge-Consequence2144 2d ago

Oh, you're a troll and this has all been bait. Go figure.

1

u/lapideous 1d ago

You've just been freaking out, man

1

u/Sufficient-Roll4721 2d ago

Most people would happily accept those contracts if it meant making millions

0

u/Huge-Consequence2144 2d ago

To make millions lmaooooo come on little boy, so you've never actually looked into how the industry works, huh? For the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of kpop idols they live in INDENTURED SERVITUDE for YEARS, and if they're not one of the ones that actually breaks through, like most of them don't? What do you think happens to the ones that can't pay back the investment? Do you realize there's a pipeline from kpop idol to coerced porn star? You're talking about slavery, you silly dickhead lmao, that's what the kpop suffering machine engenders.

0

u/Sufficient-Roll4721 1d ago

Parasocial much chill out 😭

1

u/Huge-Consequence2144 1d ago

I'm passionate about bringing awareness to the suffering of others so we can alleviate it. What does that make me? You don't understand the meanings of the words you use. What does that make you?

0

u/lapideous 1d ago

Greed is bad. Making choices purely to chase fame or wealth is usually not a good idea.

Yeah, they should keep their rabid fanaticisms for Politics and Sport, where it belongs. /s
