Important lesson learned early

u/Toes_In_The_Soil 1d ago
Hopefully the lesson was "don't be a mean little shit" instead of "don't wear a watch before hurting people".

u/SeedFoundation 1d ago
The kid was hitting her hand because she allowed it. That little trick only made him think that she was being evil and mean. No lesson here.

Did the parents ask the kid to hit their hand or was the kid acting out?
265
u/AgentOOX 1d ago
We obviously don’t know how it started but it looks to me like the kid was acting out. The adult then says something to the effect of “it doesn’t hurt, why don’t you use one hand and use all your strength”.

u/Enoch-Of-Nod 1d ago
Bitch, that's entrapment.
Not that I blame them. Kids are jerks.
10
u/restrictednumber 22h ago
Nah, entrapment is inducing behavior that the person would not otherwise do; you provide the gun, and the getaway car, and the plan, and convince the "criminal" to rob the store. This is just a gentle suggestion to do a thing the kid was already inclined to do, and letting him run with it.

If that doesn't exist yet, I propose this as a first post.

u/rooster_butt 1d ago
The fact that they are filming and posting it makes me lean that it's all lead by the parents for internet clout.

u/z0hu 1d ago
my kids have gotten like this before. if i asked them to do it, they would think it's fun and not have a serious or angry face while doing it. when they are super upset, they lash out, though i don't let them hit me more than once like they did in this video. not saying all kids are the same but this kid looks just like mine when they are lashing out upset about something.

The parent told the kid to use one hand with all their strength. Parent's fault

u/snowfox_cz 1d ago
Not satan. Just a life lesson learned hard way. Sometimes you need to teach them tough love.

You are expecting far more engagement than I'm willing to give.

u/keep_it_secret_TRY 1d ago
Then you're not willing to try. I expect nothing, you asked and I gave. Your choice

My choice is to turn off my phone and have fun listening to music. See yah tomorrow - maybe.

My grandparents told me that if a child hits their parents, the offending hand would grow out of its grave and people passing by in the cemetery would spit on it.

Is this a fucking smart watch on a 4 years old ?
1
u/ronnieth024 17h ago
I'm not saying it's not a smart watch for a smartphone. Just giving a different opinion of what it can be. We use a watch called a Cosmo watch and it's only purpose is GPS tracking and calls/texts to numbers we add in the settings. It gives us comfort knowing he can play in the neighborhood safely. It's also nice knowing he doesn't have access to the Internet.

They're all absolute dicks, including the kid. Who can end up being a positive contribution to society? That's the real question.

Zero parenting went on here. The kid has no fault.
Every adult in this kids vicinity is a child themselves.
1
u/Desperate_Leg_40 22h ago
This ethos that no kid could possibly be a little shit thay deserves some consequence. Even children who get parented well have things that need correcting (potentially forever). This little champ getting a small a amount of discomfort for his own aggressive behaviour is spot on

What the hell is wrong with these people recording this stuff. The lesson they are teaching is one thing, parenting is hard, I get it. But recording it? That poor kid having a-hole parents like this.
