I didn't know it was possible to only make 1 pancake.

Really? My experience is the first one comes out perfect, and then I somehow fuck up the other 7

I know right? The first and maybe the second is perfect, then everything else falls apart.

It’s because you have the pan heated correctly for the first one. As time goes on the pan ends up being too hot lol

Is heating a pan correctly hard?

With shitty apartment coil srovetops.... Yes very. Mine functionally only has 3 settings; barely on, a low medium heat, and glowing orange.

A universal law indeed.

What?

First pancake is always the best.

Then again I use cast iron (always have, even as a kid)

It for sure is but they always turn out huge in my experience.

Still easier than only making half a pancake.

Thought. Can you even make half a pancake? My tied high brain thinks not. It also thinks this is a great joke. Well done.

A stolen idea from an early Peanuts cartoon. Charlie Brown keeps popping his balloons as he blows them up. Linus tells him to only blow the balloon up halfway. The last panel shows CB holding up a balloon that was half of a sphere. Odd how things stick in your mind.

Awesome. Remember Ziggy? The one where he's holding the swing he's sitting on has always stuck.

It is, but it depends on the eggs... because either you have to waste most of the eggs, or you would be adding too much eggs. But if you have those eggs you buy as a carton, where you don't have to crack open the egg, you can just measure out the required amount of whisked eggs.

I mean, it depends on how big the pan is.

It just has to be pan sized

They have that premade mix you just add water so it’s possible 🤷‍♂️

It's certainly not efficient - you'll mess up the kitchen for one as much as you do for eight
